So I think I’ve made a decision. Juniper’s surgery is Tuesday morning but I’m considering not having the tumor sent to path. She is 8-9 years old and 90 lbs. Even if I could afford chemo, I don’t want to put her through that, & it likely wouldn’t give us much more time.

I am finally coming to terms with the fact that my chronic pain and migraines are never going to go away. My bedroom is my retreat, my safe space, so I’ve decided to make it a bit more lively. Do these lights look juvenile? Yes. But they “spark joy” so I’m here for it.

Finally spoke to the vet: mast cell tumor but was removed with clean margins. Need to watch closely for future eruptions but for now we’re doing well.

Visited a new venue today and was doing great until the owner approached, she was wearing patchouli. I have very real physical and emotional reactions to that smell, it was all I could do to finish the tour.

Juniper Update: we’re home from the vet and resting. Surgery went well (other than a little nausea) and they were able to extract the tumor.
After some consideration, I’m having it sent to pathology.
I need to know one way or the other.
