This juv pale-bellied Brent Goose was an unexpected Perth & Kinross tick, feeding inland with 1000+ Pinkfeet and 6 Barnacle Geese at Errol, 16 January 2025

Hoping to find a Ross’s Gull, but had to settle for this slightly less exciting Yellow-legged Gull at Invergowrie Bay. Still a rare bird in Scotland, this will be the 2nd county record for both A&D / P&K if accepted (first was March 2021 at the same site).

American White-winged Scoter at Lunan today with Dan Pointon, at the south end of the bay, viewed from Newmill of Ethie. Also 30 Long-tailed Ducks and a Puffin amongst the scoter.
