Hoping to find a Ross’s Gull, but had to settle for this slightly less exciting Yellow-legged Gull at Invergowrie Bay. Still a rare bird in Scotland, this will be the 2nd county record for both A&D / P&K if accepted (first was March 2021 at the same site).

Bewick’s Swans are such special birds. Finding this pair at Kilconquhar Loch this morning came as a complete surprise, my first in Scotland for more than 20 years! @FifeBirdNews

American White-winged Scoter at Lunan today with Dan Pointon, at the south end of the bay, viewed from Newmill of Ethie. Also 30 Long-tailed Ducks and a Puffin amongst the scoter.
