I am speechless for the first time in my life! Thank you First Minister
@NicolaSturgeon
Delighted you have tuned in 💜
And yes folks please do have a listen to the much-loved Scottish Arts and Cultural guests on
@CulturalCoven
celebrating all things Scotland 🏴🎧
Tbh I’m more worried about the person who thinks it appropriate to take pictures at a funeral & then profit from it.
Than the slight lapse of concentration, at a social-distance, from a woman at a friends funeral who was previously seen wearing a mask
Today for the 1st time in 18 yrs I heard my mums voice, on a long lost video. Bloody hell it made me cry. She hated being videod/having her pic taken. So this find is gold dust. Easier said than done but, if you can, don’t shy away from pics with loved ones, they will mean a lot
“Doesn’t matter if it’s a 10am or a 7pm give every show the same”
11 Years. What a loss. What a legend. Thanks for showing me the way on my 1st job pal 💜
My sister who has been shielding since March has just had notification that she will be getting her 1st vaccine on Monday & the sun has just come out in Edinburgh! Finally some hope. We’ll be cracking open the wine in our flat this evening! Thank you
@NHSScotland
@NicolaSturgeon
2 days ago marked exactly the amount of years on this earth without my mum as with. A day I’ve had an irrational fear of since being a teenager & losing her. Through the other side & realise it’s just a day. If you are lucky enough to grow up with your parents make the time count
79 yr old Margaret from across the road knocked on the door. I thought she was gona ask to go for a walk but instead confided it’s been a life-long ambition to dance & asked if I would teach her salsa, even if it has to be as we walk! Let’s all be more like Margaret
#NeverTooLate
I must remember no one cares that I got the ‘Joint-highest mark in Scotland in Higher History’in the 2002 exam. Didn’t go to private school & got £100 off the exam board. Oh you didn’t know…
Apparently I was bandying that bad boy around last night😬🍷
#stillmygreatestachievement
This. It would have been my mums birthday today. 18 years of not being able to celebrate with her. Some might say it’s just a day but that date doesn’t leave your mind nor the void in your heart fully heal.
So many are grieving just now, let’s always look after each other 💗💚
I can’t stop thinking how I too would have got in the car. If a police officer stopped me, I wouldn’t have known to question it.
It was the ultimate, most evil betrayal
#SarahEverard
Today I was babysitting a 5 yr old girl who loves to dance. She wants to learn highland, I show yer my best moves, courtesy. Silence. Her face screws, then “hmm that was...QUITE good” I competed for years, taught, often dance on stage. In 6 seconds I was slayed by a 5 yr old...😂
@NicolaSturgeon
Thank you. Thank you for recognising the importance and contribution of Scottish Theatre. So many of us work in it and this will go some way to saving it and our cultural life. Our FM showing Westminster how it’s done!
My pal Jonny just reminded me of the joy of the Scottish 1990’s ‘play piece.’ Usually a wee packet of crisps,maybe Golden Wonder or Monster Munch. At playtime you’d check out what others had, lock eyes & declare “one for one.”You’d take one theirs & vice versa. How very civilised
@CommonsTreasury
Self employed should be treated equally to PAYE. My works (the arts) has stopped overnight! We pay our taxes. Means-tested for up to £94 a week. What a joke!! 5 million people potentially could lose everything.Or worse, risk their health. Give us 80 percent of our last tax return
@AnnelieseDodds
You do know that employment law is reserved to Westminster? The SNP campaign to abolish 0 hour contracts, introduce a real living wage & basic universal income- all those decisions sit very firmly at Westminster’s door.
Reunited with Lizzie Loch. We check-in weekly but it’s been 16 months since we saw each other. 16 months since we stepped off the plane at Glasgow airport from a tour of her play to Oz and we realised this virus is serious.
Tonight we drank cocktails & laughed like drains 💜
Looking forward to chatting to other human beings after a year of chatting to the walls!! And what brilliant folk to speak too

Remembering Gerard Kelly. 9 years today. A legend, a lesson in professionalism to us all and a total gent. This was my first professional theatre job and he totally took me under his wing. Wishee-Washee and So-Shy, Glasgow Kings, 2009 ❤️
“You're a fascist and a racist, and the South Side of Glasgow will reject you."
I didn’t think it was possible to have more respect for the FM
@NicolaSturgeon
and then she stood up to these rank people and their abhorrent views 👏💪
Lovely to be back performing at this this old girl today
@DundeeRep
for the first time in 3 years! With the inimitable Crawford Logan in the beautiful wee play ‘The Gardener.’
A 2nd life after we last did the show 5 years ago! 💜
Had the pleasure of accompanying Liz Lochhead to the 1st preview of her Medea

I don’t know a woman that hasn’t felt fearful walking home alone at night. Keys in hand, taking the long route, phone unlocked in case required. Then feeling guilty or being made to feel guilty for ‘taking a risk’. There should be no risk to take.
#SarahEverard
Yest, after 12 wks shielding to protect my sister, we went for our first proper walk- it peed it with rain but it was glorious!! We went to colinton tunnel, the art work is devine! Hope shielders are enjoying being reunited with loved ones 🙌 let’s get through this safely
Word. This must be terrifying for the people of Ukraine.
Respect to the bordering countries and their citizens driving to the border to take in absolute strangers. That is humanity at its best
Hi
@joannaccherry
as my MP, please ask
@RishiSunak
to urgently extend the SEISS scheme. My industry, theatre, has closed overnight and looks to remain so for a very long time. SEISS runs out in 4 days and millions of us really need some financial support to survive. Thank you
Spotted on Makars Court in Edinburgh today. And it landed.
What a beautiful thing it would be to start normalising helping others no matter who they are or where they come from

For anyone who still doesn’t believe that democracy in Scotland is ignored by the Tories WATCH THIS!
Utterly disgusting from the front runner for Prime Minister. Listen to the jeering from the other Tories!

Relieved my sister is coming towards end of shielding as means can finally get hospital treatment. It just really brings home how imprtant health is, stay safe folks. Health before wealth!

going above & beyond to find solutions to keep those fighting illness out of hospital. Yest my sis began treatment from home & via a video learned to inject 4 of these beasts in2 her stomach & legs. Few tears from us all but she did it & I am so proud!
My new neighbour chapped the door to ask if I was okay? Completely perplexed I replied yes. He explained he had heard me doing a lot shouting during the day...I had to explain I was doing some recording. That’ll be the quickest turn around from sold to back on the market!
So sad to hear about Andy Gray. A great Scottish actor with top-notch comic-timing and always had audiences in the palm of his hand. Also a lovely man. Thoughts and condolences with his family and loved ones. He will be sorely missed by the community
I’m often told I bare more than a passing resemblance to Donna Reed in ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’
@Sarahgray55
1st spotted it. I adore the story but aware the pandemic’s taking its toll 👀 Can some kind person PLEASE put it on stage & cast me as Mary before I’m more Ma Bailey! Ta 💜
A donor saved my mums life when I was 8 & gave her 10 more years, I am eternally grateful. For me, it’s the most incredible & selfless gift. But I also appreciate it’s not for all. If that’s the case from March you must take your name off the list. It will be an Opt-Out system 👇
The law around organ and tissue donation in Scotland is changing to an ‘opt out’ system from March 2021.
Find out more about what this means for you, and your choices, here ➡️
I’ve just had a DM from a charming fella asking if I want to sell my pants. Whatever floats yer boat I suppose. Apparently “it’s a good way to make a quick buck”...might have got to that stage. Hope he likes thermal underwear
After our street Clap for Carers (A small gesture of thanks,I know not nearly enough 🌈)we did a wee shout out for FM
@nicolasturgeon
We hear you & we see you Nicola! Thank you. Met her a few times & she’s always been warm & compassionate. Here’s that time I fired in for a hug!
There are of course worse things in the world & when planning a wedding I expected to feel the loss of my mum again.But over 2 days 3 wedding suppliers have asked “oh where is your mum?” Weddings come in all shapes & forms these days,come on bridal industry time to move on a bit!

Just did the Slosh and the Macarena with my sister, just you know to see if we could remember them.
I’m glad to say the memory of our grandmother and her sisters dancing round their handbags still burns strong and 2020 hasn’t stolen these unique high-art dances from us
National Theatre director Rufus Norris has warned that a surge in opportunities with streaming platforms including Netflix and Amazon is taking talent away from theatre
Did an interview & meeting today but NO accomplishment can compare to rehanging a picture or putting together a lamp. 2 hours in & still going strong. It’s a BEAUTIFUL moment. As the majority of the industry remains closed I could do with a job so aye available for the DIY
“She’s up to high doh”
Bizarrely, never until this moment did it register with me that this is a Scottish saying. I know it now…as the panel looked back at me perplexed
So proud to create the Sam Heughan Scholarship and scriptwriting competition

Ever tried to apply for some funding? It’s my 1st time...so far I’ve consumed half a chocolate orange, a bar of fry’s cream,a small packet of drumstick squishies and watched CatFish! Emm...maybe for my own health I should just turn up and do jobs and forget tryin to create them!
Is it law that when you get over 30 you have 1 night out and then pay for it by spending the whole of the day on the sofa/lying on the floor in your jammies, often needing water or food but taking a good 2 hours each time to work up to going getting some? 😳
Walking through Dalry at 1.48am because it’s probably safer than getting the non-existent taxi home. I’ve just seen a man on a unicycle, who unfortunately cycled into a wall...😬 but long live Dalry and the unicycle man!

It was near tears of joy when I heard the repair man had got the boiler to work and we had heating for the first time in an age. Celebrated by sitting next to a radiator for 3 hours eating a cupcake and a refresher bar
