@RHalligan @Beyonce @ChrisStapleton It's all opinion eventually. So that's fine. I think the debate is a good chance to highlight some of the imbalances in how country music operates.

@RHalligan @Beyonce @ChrisStapleton Also... the album was roundly ignored by Music Row and country radio ( at first) until public demand changed that. Also - she is a woman. Currently 8% of country radio is by female artists.

@agmckin @Beyonce Can I suggest there may be some mainstream 'country' artists who sound a million miles away from what many consider to be authentic. Would Sam Hunt, for example, be 'country' on some early tracks? (Spoiler: I like Sam a lot too)
