@TheWrigleyWire If he will only sign a 6-year contract, then I think giving him a 6-year contract with an opt out after multiple years makes sense. That way, you protect the team and the player. If he thinks he’s that good, make him bet on himself.

@Odunzesburner Shaw will be on the team, the question is will he be eased into 2B with Nico playing, or will Nico be traded right away if Bregman signs? Shaw would only be traded for a top-tier SP with years of control. Bregman would instantly make this team better.
