A little 🧵if you care to read it.
Happy Saturday Everyone!
Excited to have both our upcoming developments, The Piedmont in Torbay and Sunset Meadows in St. Philip’s advertised in the latest edition of The North East Avalon Times.

Are we giving Rory the credit here for Grayson’s play this week after the incredible advice at the Players meeting to just “Play Better”?
I’m just going to put it out there that the real news of today is the Bank of Canada ending Quantitative Easing and moving up the timeline for interest rate hikes.
That has much more impact on your life than a dispute between a hockey team and arena owners.
TD Economics forecasts that Newfoundland & Labrador will see the most price stability in 2023, less than a 2% drop while forecasting price erosion of over 11% across the Country.
When you don’t go crazy at the party, the hangover isn’t all that bad.

But, hey, we don’t live here for the weather. Who needs weather to enjoy when you have a booming economy, amenities, good health outcomes, quality roads, ease of travel, and and low cost of goods & services?
😬
I have 1 hope for today.
That the media doesn’t waste Dr. Fitzgerald’s time with ridiculous questions.
They have the opportunity to ask questions, I’d like to see them not waste it.
There are a handful that always ask great questions, hopefully it can rub off on the others
@MeaneyJim
@CPC_HQ
Going to file that under Who Cares.
Hope they focus on things they can actually impact and control such as housing, healthcare, fiscal policy, resource management, immigration, etc.
Election kit 🗳 arrived yesterday!
😆LOL😆
I’m going to be honest, I am not sure how much confidence I have in Elections NL ability to count the vote 🤦🏻♂️
This is the farce that never ends! 👎🏻

Is anyone else finding the situation in Ukraine incredibly heavy?
I feel like it is all I can think about or all we should be talking about.
This was to be a time of joy with putting the pandemic in the rearview mirror and moving on with life.
Another call from Ontario from people looking to move to Newfoundland to enjoy lifestyle and affordable real estate. That is the 8th group in the last 2 weeks for me/my team. That doesn’t can’t the online inquiries and web traffic. That is the people that are 100% doing it.
In all seriousness, it is really good to watch a debate where everyone is being respectful, waiting their turn, and discussing issues instead of turning it into a spectacle. We get pretty down on politicians here in NL but they are carrying themselves as leaders tonight.
Conservatives have this thing in the bag. They don’t have to worry about any pictures of Scheer popping up like that because the man has never been to a party in his life.
Hey everyone 👋
I was wondering why an insane number of people that don’t follow me all of a sudden felt the need to explain real estate to me. This text helped me figure it out.
Now let's fix what you "know" about real estate. Mostly 🇨🇦, but applies to the 🇺🇸
<thread> 👇🧵
Hell of a conversation we have going on here tonight. Someone give
@daniel_foch
the order of Canada for putting these Twitter Spaces together! Best real estate discussion in the country happens here every Thursday night. Happy to be a part of it!

Reading all these John Crosbie articles and tweets and FB posts can’t help but fire you up and make you want to dig in and fight to make NL a better place. What a legend that man was!
@DoerflerJared
Jared, the spectrum seems to go from super budget to high end at a major cost. What in general is considered best bang for in terms of features, etc?
So, unless your are an emergency vehicle/worker, snow removal contractor, gas station attendant, or pharmacist.....STAY OFF THE ROADS IN ST. JOHN’S.
If you don’t have chips, beer, cigarettes, etc. TOO BAD.
Anyone else getting completely annoyed with these CBC opinion pieces? If you wondering why conservatives constantly beat the drum of lower taxes...just look no further than this. Our tax dollars at work right here giving us hard hitting journalism. 🙄
Just finished another Zoom meeting with yet another couple cashing out of the crazy Ontario real estate market and moving to St. John’s Metro. Awesome to see so many families make the move here. Makes me optimistic about the future of our Province.
@kerriclaireneil
But I thought you complained about no bus there for the workers of Costco and other newly situated businesses? Now public transportation exists and it is a problems?
The Short Term Rental market in NL just got flipped on its head!
Will be interesting to see what this does to rental supply and for sale inventory, etc.
#retwit
Effective today, NL is implementing changes to the Tourist Establishments Act (TEA).
The biggest takeaway?
It means operators of Short Term Rentals on online platforms like Airbnb, Expedia, and , will have now to register with the province.
@NTVNewsNL
@FrankfortReport
The plans I see float around this app are glorified hotel suites. GD ridiculous. Way too small to expect people to actually live their lives.
🧵
I’ve been pretty low key about my real estate practice over the last 6 or 8 months…..been in the lab with a pen and a pad.
Friends, I am now just about ready to launch this 🚀
@Kimburly22
I don’t think this is an unpopular opinion. I think anyone who likes the Sunshine list is a massive 🤡. The positions and salaries can be reported without names....it serves the same purpose.
Just had a great chat with
@johnjhogan
I appreciate any political candidate taking the time to have a real conversation.
I encourage everyone to reach out to a candidate in their district to have a conversation.
@PeterCBC
What kind of hot take is this from the Premier?!? I went from working 60+ hours a week to about 10-15 because having to take care of the kids. The pressure this has put on my businesses and business partners is wild. I mean it is what it is at this point but come on man!
@nasmadotali
Nasma, what is going on with all of the quick turnarounds on homes? Seems so bizarre for things to be bought and re-sold so quickly. I noticed that on a lot of the homes being posted and discussed.
I have closed our eXp Real Estate office for 2 weeks. We are a 100% cloud based organization that operates virtually with over 42,000 agents. This is an easy pivot for us and we will carry on as normal. I encourage all business owners in the metro to operate remotely if possible
Now that Newfoundland is becoming a destination for movies, I think we are the perfect destination to shoot an absolute blockbuster. The next Hunger Games movie! It can be both filmed at and about the Fogo Island Ferry Service. May the odds be ever in your favour!
Raise your hand 🙋🏻♀️ 🙋🏻♂️ if you are in lockdown with young kids and finding your productivity going 📉
If you are like me you need to be reminded you are not the only one!
Found out today that the youngest child’s daycare centre will NOT be opening next week in Level 3.
Pictured below, me pondering a timeline of when I can actually punch a proper week of work.
This is what the local people who declare PP as unelectable or “don’t have a chance” against Trudeau, etc. completely miss. We do not have a housing crisis locally. It is the number 1 issue for young people in most of the country. Young voters are angry and PP will exploit that.
Powerfully compelling data from
@nshealth
. From Mar 15 - Sept 14, 2021, the fully vaccinated made-up only 2.1% of

Active cases now down over 45% from the peaks just over a week ago on Feb 20.
Glad we continue to move in the right direction 👍🏼
@dwancherry
What? People are shitting on an athlete because they love their sport? Isn’t that what we always clamour that we want to see? Athletes out there not doing it for the money. What in the hell kind of hot take is this?
I’ve failed many times in my life and career and because of this I’ve learned a lot. Instead of feeling defeated countless times, I’ve used it as fuel to drive me to work harder. So today, join me in accepting our failures. Let’s use them to motivate us to work even harder.
You may not have wanted him in this role, but he's there now and there is nothing you or I can do about it.
I know its possibly going to get worse over the next several days, but like him or not, Tom Brady is turning things around in Tampa Bay.
Had an excellent meeting today with a municipal development committee!
Excited to move forward in seeking approval for a 45-unit apartment complex.
My goal in coming years is to put as much rental supply into the local market as possible. Critical for a healthy housing market.
This headline is terrible.
This isn’t some mystery and there are a handful of factors attributing to a market that has recovered.
Red-Hot is a bit much too. Pricing still well off 2014 #’s
I will do a FB Live market update later today with up to date data.
Hey, is there anything in that report that was released yesterday about bringing Golf Town back to the province? Or are we staying they have not province?
