2 completely different routes though. Burns came to NCSU from Winthrop when we were 11-21. If we were dominating with Burns for several years and he kept sticking around I think people would feel the same as Bacot and Hunter Dickinson.

ECU is literally the school that everyone uses as a pull in case of emergency. Raleigh is where ECU alums move to after school. NC State is where ECU athletes transfer to to be on a bigger stage.

Outside of Chatfield I would honestly just let everyone walk and incorporate the young players like Nadeau, Blake, etc. They need to clear the dead weight and get these bad contracts off the books. Guentzel would be nice but that’s also a win now move.

It’s hard to replace entire lineups every year and teams gel, whether it’s one and done’s or full transfer portal. Which is what pisses me off when every school loses players but UNC gets hyped up because their star players aren’t good enough to leave college.

Our main sport is football. Yes I know historically we are a basketball school, but culture wise everyone at state lives for football. That being said, why in our main sport are our fans willing to settle for mediocrity? With NIL and portal we should expect more than 9 wins.
