Today, the single Age Pension will increase by $19.60 per fortnight and for couples (combined) by $29.40. This puts extra dollars in the pocket of pensioners, but it won’t be for long as cost-of-living pressures build, especially for the 325,000 Australians aged 65+ who rent.

Should young, healthy people give up their seat on public transport for those who need it more? Is it a matter of manners, or is it the law? You might be surprised that the rules are different in different states.
