WVSU Athletics is built upon three pillars: Academic Excellence, Competitive Success, and Community. This Fall, our student-athletes had a 3.24 GPA, had its highest ranking in the LEARFIELD Directors' Cup standings (48th), and we are now a finalist for the D2 Award of Excellence.

Following a historic 2024 Fall sports season, WVSU Athletics is tied for 48th place in the NCAA Division II LEARFIELD Directors' Cup standings. This is the highest WVSU has ever ranked in the Fall standings! The previous high was 97th place, achieved in 2022.
