The shooting death of Ahmaud Arbery made all too painfully clear the fear and risks that can be felt by black runners every day.
Today, Atlanta Track Club encourages you to run 2.23 miles in memory of Ahmaud and in solidarity that everyone has the right to run.

We remember Ahmaud Arbery, a Black man who was murdered while going for a run on 2.23.20. We honor his memory and mourn the senseless loss of his life. We acknowledge that running is still not safe for all, and commit to supporting a safe, equitable, and just running environment.
We remember Ted Corbitt fondly on what would have been his 103rd birthday.
His many contributions to the sport of running make him the single most effective individual in establishing the American marathon as a modern sport. Thank you for leading the path, Ted.
