@mikelikessports I'm one of them, Mike. I'm definitely done for the season and I'm not sure if and when I'll ever be back. This is an apocalyptic event for my fandom

@lpkZombieKiller @ggwash Can you share that source data? The SoFi site is very visibly full of ~200 acres of surface lots?

@hgil @tjl @BarredinDC I hope so! But we'll need the Mayor and Council to insist on it for it to happen. Owners and the league are notoriously risk averse with their billion dollar investments

@DestaSolutions @LemonsClement @ggwash Sorry, are you saying you calculate citywide vacancy data yourself?

@bradstinks @ggwash I think you've misunderstood my arg? I'm saying that 12.5 avg is illustrative that this whole range is small. EVEN if DC is on the high side at ~35 I think data shows it won't bring in as much as perm. nhood. You disagree, I'm asking if you can share what informs your view?

@hgil @tjl @BarredinDC Ya I think the league might find a way to count some shuttle lots for a SB, but my conclusion there's not room isn't based on 35k, it's based on 25k. Even that number takes the whole site is my contention. Do you disagree?

@bradstinks @ggwash So you agree if it only hosts 12.5 it may not be worth it? What's your number per year necessary to equal the revenue we would get from building a new neighborhood there?

@bradstinks @ggwash No, the study I cited that found a 12.5 event average across all football stadiums. Or are you saying you didn't read it?

@bradstinks @ggwash Which data from the study that found 12.5 did you find an error in? MetLife is famously home to two teams and I'm not sure 35 is a compelling number either? Capital One Arena is used 220 times per year. The economic impact of a football stadium is paltry in comparison.
