I am pleased to share @UlrikeKrause @EdlerHannnah and my analysis of peace perceptions from our research in #Kakuma and Germany as part of the project "Women, Forced Migration – and Peace?" funded by @dsfrieden Thank you to all who participated and supported the project!
What meanings do people with lived experience of conflict & displacement ascribe to peace? @NSegadlo, @EdlerHannah & I explore this in "Making sense of peace in exile" with an intersectional approach in @Peacebuilding_. Research was funded by @dsfrieden

Food rations have been reduced another time this year for the month of October in #Kakuma, #Kalobeyei and #Dadaab with tremendous effects on the residents who already face extreme hardships
Reduction of Food Rations Alert 🚨 October 2024 Cycle - Key Messages to the refugee camps in Kenya: - World Food Program @WFP_Kenya says it will reduce the food distribution rations from 60% to 40% of the food basket in both #Kakuma, #Dadaab and #Kalobeyei due to what it termed as recent increases in the number of refugees (new arrivals), and baby registration; delays in arrival of a vessel from US contribution among others. - Bamba Chakula will reduce from KES 795/= to KES 450/= - Aid beneficiaries are advised to receive their rations on the day the family size is allocated!! - More details ⬇️⬇️
