We are aware of a protest being organized by the "Canadian Frontline Nurses” group at the QEII today.
The NSGEU is not affiliated with them in any way, and we certainly do not endorse any of their events or actions.
Government needs to be revisit its decision to end contact tracing in schools and provide staff with access to KN95 or N95 masks as well as rapid tests.
We have filed 48-Hour strike notice for school support workers in

We continue to support evidence-based public health measures to help stop the spread of COVID-19. The NSGEU has always strongly encouraged its members to get vaccinated to help protect against preventable illnesses, such as influenza, H1N1, and now COVID-19.
This is concerning... A mock classroom has been set up at this joint media conference, demonstrating the distance between desks in a typical classroom. 28 inches side to side, 32 inches back to back.

NSGEU members in our schools work closely with teachers and principals everyday to educate Nova Scotia’s students. The ham-fisted approach, a hallmark of the McNeil Liberals, will do nothing to improve classroom conditions.
