The 1979 Wobblies documentary investigates a nation torn by corporate greed and the red-hot rift between the industrial masters and the rabble-rousing workers in the field and factory. This award-winning film airs a provocative look at some forgotten American history, screening the unforgettable and fiery voices of Wobbly members--lumberjacks, migratory workers, and silk weavers--in their 70s, 80s, and 90s. If you want to watch it, you can find torrents of this #Documentary , its also on a few streaming services, both paid and free.

I asked this question on Discord: "Does anyone know exactly when the rich and corporations bought off the United States government? Was it always corrupt and bought off, or is it a carried over feature from feudalism times? If you can expand upon these questions and provide an answer, please do." This was the well written response I got. ✍️ "This is a historical question, honestly. The shortest answer — always been a patriarchy with the rich in charge. The 13 colonies weren’t ragged pioneers. They were, primarily, privileged British citizens who built their settlements on existing Indian villages in which the “Great Dying” had killed off all the inhabitants. As the settler colonial project faltered, the British Monarchy assisted to keep it afloat. Example: The Mayflower was a ship that sailed up and down the coast for 6-8 weeks, selecting its location. The passengers were settlers who were backed by rich merchants who expected a return on their investments. Example: When the project began faltering, the British ignored the potato famine in Ireland to provide the project with more settlers for expansion and slave patrollers. When the country was finally formed, Washington and Jefferson had already laid out a plan for expansion because they were meticulous land surveyors, Jefferson being one of the wealthiest men in the world outside of Britain. When the US was founded, the founders had developed several private armories during their decades of wars on the Indians, French, and British. The country was in debt, and so the First Bank of the United States gave its very first $10 million loan to the Springfield Armory, creating the first “Fiscal-Military State”. The rich ruled the South via the slave trade, which led to the Cotton Kingdom. All of the founders were rich white men of privilege by the time of founding. Ben Franklin, for example, was the world’s largest publisher. These men had so much disdain for “commoners”, that the original Constitution was drafted on the basis that only the few privileged would vote and have rights. This didn’t sit well with Jefferson and his group, as he wanted to give basic rights to white commoners. Thus, the 1st Amendment was drafted — “The Bill of Rights”. I’m sure you can surmise that it has always been “by the rich, for the rich”. As for the Feudalism portion. The US was born out of both feudalism with the monarchy but primarily depended on mercantilism — which became capitalism. The military-industrial complex has always been present since the very founding."

Here are some facts. 1. You can change your outer appearance all you want, but you can never change your biology. You will always be male or female. (Excluding Intersex people, which is a birth defect.) 2. It's immoral and harmful to medically transition children. The correct stance is to ensure these youths go through puberty, as their gender dysphoria may go away with time. It's also the correct stance to only support transitioning for those at least 18 years of age. 3. When it comes to sports, its unfair for men who believe they are women to compete in womens sports as despite their new identity, they still have a biological advantage over the women. 4. It's the correct stance to advocate for informed medical consent and to ensure people know the possible risks and negative side effects of transitioning. 5. Gender dysphoria is a mental illness, and gender transitioning doesn't guarantee that ones problems will go away. It should also be stated that transitioning itself isn't 100% safe, and there are negative side effects.

@elcumster @ClintonAlden @sdgrumbine @CheeseMacro @profwolff @HamptonThink @ajamubaraka @DavidNorthWSWS @Claud9_ @jasonhickel I didn't write the thread. I just felt like sharing it. But in terms of explaining Trotskyism, Alexander does it very well.

@legaltweetz I think it's a safe bet that you call everyone who doesn't 100% go along with you a transphobe.

@ClintonAlden @sdgrumbine @CheeseMacro @profwolff @HamptonThink @ajamubaraka @DavidNorthWSWS @Claud9_ @jasonhickel Here's a small thread on Trotskyism. To me, Trotskyists are reformists who are here to prevent revolutionary change.
The pamphlet »Quite Right, Mr Trotsky! Some Trotsky Myths Debunked; and how Trotskyists today hamper the Fight for Peace and Socialism« written by english communist Denver Walker in 1985 comes with 21 cartoon sketches all of which are to be documented in this thread😊 🧵🖼️[1/22]

I don't know how long this Israel/Palestine situation is going to last as Israel seems set on their greater Israel project. While it's true that this topic is important, I do wonder that when it's all said and done, where will all this political energy go? I mean, will there be a certain issue people rally behind, or will it be a scattered mess? At least within the United States, I don't forsee anything getting better anytime soon, with a vast majority of the population being propagandized in favor of capitalism as everything wrong with the world seems to stem from it. There are so many issues that need addressing, and I don't think any substantial change will be possible without first educating the proletariat. As far as how we're to go about that without it taking decades, I have no idea. It feels like an impossible task. I imagine things would be a little easier if we didn't have to fight back against the government and its propaganda machine, which also includes the existence of the academic industrial complex which is designed to brainwash people, especially our youth into believing the United States is a great country and that capitalism is the only system that works. Unless the United States empire crumbles, causing the proletariat to unite in solidarity against capitalism and the bourgeoisie, I don't expect anything to get substantially better in my lifetime; I just worry that the left will go back to fighting each other instead of organizing like they have organized in favor of Palestine. Despite my concerns, I try to remain hopeful that at least some things will get better, but it's incredibly difficult to do within this capitalist hellscape.

I have some information on my website. And You don't need those things for what I said. It is factual and reasonable. You should practice critical thinking yourself. But For the sports thing, there are plenty of scientific articles out there showing how males have an advantage over women. This is why it's unfair for men regardless of they believe they are women to compete in womens sports.

Forgive the rant but I want to vent as I've been dealing with disgusting people who support gender transitioning children who then call me transphobic for being reasonable, for following the facts, and for even being slightly critical of the gender transitioning topic - It's ridiculous how propagandized people are within my leftist circles. Despite not being a Trump fan, I think his policies on this are reasonable.

@rawsalerts The United States infrastructure is collapsing. Meanwhile, the United States spends billions on war and aggressive foreign policies as the people here are struggling in this capitalist hellscape.
