We have teamed with @Young_Turk_Cyp to address the BBC’s bias on Cyprus. Within 24 hours we have sent over 400 complaints! Representation of all communities matter and by not allowing Turkish Cypriot voices to be heard the BBC are only recognising 1 communities struggles.
Over 400 complaint letters have been sent to the BBC following their biased, unrepresentative and anti-Turkish report of the 1974 Cyprus War. In less than 20 seconds you can also send them a pre-populated letter! #BBC #TurkishCypriotsExist #Cyprus1974

An important thread. Many international sporting events such as the @Olympics and @thecgf promote anti discriminatory policies and are included in their constitutions. Yet Turkish Cypriots are still excluded which directly contradicts their constitutions. This isn’t ok.
More evidence of Turkish Cypriot exclusion, which our British diplomats at @UKinCyprus are oh so proud of promoting. Discrimination sucks & it is appalling that the @FCDOGovUK plays such an active role in supporting this state of affairs in #Cyprus

On 11/02/2022, we as ‘North Cyprus Exists’, reached out to @CommonsSpeaker asking the same @JaphaOfficial As an impartial member of the U.K. government Sir Lindsay Hoyle has a duty to ensure that Turkish Cypriots aren’t excluded, else his actions cannot be considered impartial.

@chimenesuleyman @guardian Unbalanced articles as written by @HelenaSmithGDN does more damage than good. We call on the @guardian to rectify this issue by immediately pulling this piece and acknowledging the concerns of the Turkish Cypriot community.
