The judge overstepped his authority. There is no basis in law for blocking someone from doing a job just because they are a political appointee. There is also no evidence presented that the DOGE team even has personally identifiable information, something they’ve stated they do not. it’s a baseless accusation, something that any lawyer should be censured for doing.

@dd_chip @laurenboebert She is saying to make them laws. example, “The USDS (“DOGE”) is authorized to access and audit all computer records of the United States Government regardless of existing regulations to the contrary. This authority shall expire on July 4th 2026”.

@BernieSanders There is no crisis. The USDS has a mandate from Congress to improve the efficiency of computer systems and their processes.

The judge that is blocking the USDS from accessing a computer system is literally contradicting the reason it was established. It is the job of the USDS to access systems and data and evaluate them.

As president of the United States, he has great authority to grant access to information. But he doesn't need to. The organization known now as DOGE is officially the United States Digital Service, an organization that makes the government more efficient by looking at software, data, and processes. The mandate to see private information in inherent in this task. To be clear, it also comes with a responsibility to protect personally identifiable information. Usually, accessed data is anonymized so that things such as names, phone numbers and ID numbers are not download or are replaced with fake values. As a lawyer, you should already know that "I don't like it" is no basis for a lawsuit.

@Bill43111 @TrumpDailyPosts The claim has not been verified. Donald Trump has not been convicted of mishandling classified material and reports about the case have not been released pending ongoing legal cases.

@Noahpinion How about if the left just stops doing both, then we don’t have to write gaslighting or lying.

@SpookdBlog Sigh. The president cannot declare Congress in recess. Congress must adjourn. Furthermore, he cannot add requirements to teh Constitution. That requires an amendment. Seriously, do they even teach civics in schools anymore?
