And it's official! The team have now been awarded a certificate of recognition for recruiting the most patients in a single month (to date) to this wound healing study. There are 24 Trusts involved so this is a brilliant accolade

Our team @NCAlliance_NHS were delighted to be part of this important @NIHRresearch -funded work, the longest trial of any GLP-1 agonist in people with Parkinson's disease, assessing effects of exenatide over a period of 96 weeks. @MontySilverdale @MCCN_UK
The results from the "Exenatide-3" Phase 3 clinical trial of the diabetes drug bydureon in 194 people with #Parkinsons (2yrs treatment) have been published; Safe & well tolerated, but "no evidence to support exenatide as a disease-modifying treatment"
