I was one of the grants managers for Nest. I ran Nest for half the existence of the program. We didn't do everything perfectly and some things didn't work. But, we learned a lot in the process, often out in the open.

DAOs can now interact with other protocols and participate in other DAOs. The interaction between DAOs is the most exciting part to me. We see this in traditional organizations. This opens up the door for many interesting use cases as Luke mentions here👇:
👀 A demo of the upcoming Frame 0.2 release which include Aragon Agent integration.
This will enable you to propose arbitrary actions for a DAO to perform directly from frame and use any web3 authenticated DApp on behalf of an organization.

It's becoming clear that the best gov approach is a hybrid between off-chain and on-chain gov processes and mechanisms, with a limited (but key) role for the on-chain part.
But off-chain gov doesn't get the attention it deserves. Other Internet is changing this!
Our thesis at Other Internet is that off-chain processes will increasingly be the focus of governance design.
Social spaces, informal processes, and user interfaces are forms of governance!

Traditional contracts, property deeds, wills, etc. are private law, "drafted by private persons rather than politicians or government bureaucrats." Smart contracts are a new form of such decentralized rulemaking.

Ugh. Uniswap governance is not a "single company". It is a smart contract with near-negligible admin privileges and opt-in upgradeability. If you think a 6-of-9 multisig vote is comparable or superior (?!) you're either dumb or malicious. Bad, bad take.
