After 24 hours of FDOT initiating emergency repair contracts, Longboat Key is open to residents starting at 1pm today! Please access Longboat Key from the south entrance only. FDOT emergency road repairs are ongoing in Bradenton Beach and Longboat Pass Bridge is still closed.

As of 11:46 a.m., the SANIBEL CAUSEWAY IS OPEN. Normal travel has resumed in BOTH DIRECTIONS. The City is not requiring hurricane passes at this time. Please do not travel over flooded roads. Allow the water to recede and City crews to clean up debris over roadways.

in the Big Bend area as well as District One. Crews will clear drainages, remove debris and trees from the roadways.
Manatee Ave. & Cortez Rd. bridges remain closed. Anna Maria Island has sustained severe damage from storm surge. It's without power or water & many roads are still flooded. No one is allowed on the island until the "First In Teams" clear roads & officials deem it safe to return.

If your house is flooded and water levels are rising, follow these safety steps:
Wear rubber-soled shoes or boots.
Turn off your circuit breakers.
Disconnect all electrical appliances.
Turn off all wall switches.
