I finally found the courage to share my Student Diploma film (The Tutor, B/W, 32 mins). It's loosely based on Dostoyevsky's 'Crime and Punishment'. I was 24 when I made this film and I have lived more years since, than I had before I made this film.

Can’t wait to have this book in my collection. Growing up, everyone used to call the films of Indian Parallel movement as art films. And they were made in as many diverse languages as there were themes, styles and stories. All those film makers continue to inspire till today!!
Good evening. My new book on Indian Parallel Cinema will be dropping next week in ebook format followed by a hardback publication a few weeks later in Feb. Paperback will be landing after 12 months.

Met someone who works closely with Gulzar Sahab last night. Gulzar Sahab is 90 and plays tennis everyday - works out for 3 hours!! Another thing to be inspired about in addition to his films, his poetry and writing, his body of work and worldview.
