@C_Hendrick When I think of teaching as facilitation, it means that I’m guiding the discussions of a text in an English classroom rather than lecturing and just giving answers about the text. This should be scaffolded in terms of difficulty. There are concepts that have to be directly taught

@rmeyer4488 We are trying to get our 9th graders to connect the setting to the author’s purpose & theme. This will help them get there. Maybe we’ll start with a teacher modeled one, students working in groups, & then the revised one on their own explaining how their changes impact the text.

Yesterday, @KnottRhue, @ShaniceSucre, and I had a great time observing new to KHS and new teachers in their classrooms. Afterwards we celebrated their wins! I can’t wait for the next round of peer to peer observations.
