Here’s one reason I devote so much of my activism to Nashville: It’s radical af. More social revolution is happening at the local level in Davidson County than almost anywhere in the US. They just beat freakin’ San Francisco to have an openly trans elected official for one.
Tonight Olivia Hill made history when she swore an oath to serve Nashville and became the first openly transgender elected official in the state of Tennessee.
It was an amazing feeling to be there among trans folks of all ages and backgrounds to celebrate this massive moment 🏳️⚧️
