Yesterday we had to say goodbye to our gorgeous cat, Saffi. She was part of our family for 12 years & we are beyond heartbroken. She was my constant writing companion & we will miss her more than words can say. 💔

Love this! My debut was published when I was 46… age really doesn’t matter in publishing….
Worth noting that the average age of authors in the top 10 mass market fiction list this week is approx 56 (based on 9 out of 10 - couldn't find age of 1). So if you're a 40+ writer starting out, please remember your best years are still to come!.

My OH & I got married 20 years ago this month. His best man & my bridesmaid met at our wedding, went to live in France & have been together ever since. We flew out for a few days together to celebrate & it was so lovely. Lots of chatting, fab food & wine & beautiful scenery!! 🥂

Had car picked up for MOT yesterday. Got told it failed & would cost over £840 to fix. Got the feeling the guy on the phone was just trying to rip me off. Took it to local garage who just passed it with zero work (& a couple of advisories). Moral - don’t use Servicing Stop…😡.

8 years ago I jumped out of a plane - with a parachute! I’d just had a big birthday, realised life is actually quite short & I should try to do things even if they scared me. It gave me the confidence to write a book & in a month’s time my 4th novel will be published!! (1of2)

Six weeks ago my dad had an operation for the first stage of a cochlear implant. He was ‘switched on’ yesterday & today we had a conversation on the phone for the first time in more than 5 years. Early days, but absolutely incredible result - so grateful for the #NHS.

A lot of women don’t have issues, but as the U.K. birth trauma report shows, many do. I haemorrhaged, lost 3 litres of blood, ended up in theatre & then ICU. Staying positive isn’t enough. Women need to be listened to & given better maternity care - as the report suggests.
Yes. I feel really strongly about this. Stay positive regardless. For the record I had no pain relief with either of mine and I've had worse food poisoning. A lot of women have no issues at all 💗.
