Today I had the great pleasure of watching lead #WomanOfSteel Kathleen Roberts receive her honorary degree in Engineering from @sheffielduni after being asked to help with her nomination. 100-yrs-old & the oldest person ever to receive such an accolade from the uni. Very fitting.

On #IWD23 I would like to give the biggest shout out to Sheffield’s #WomenOfSteel who for 6 long years during #WW2 risked life and limb to ‘do their bit’ for the war effort. It took 70 years for them to receive the thanks they deserved due to @NancyFielder at the @SheffieldStar
