Thank you to all who followed me based upon a comment I made about my experience as a helicopter pilot! To intro myself a bit more, I flew UH-60s and was in the Army for 7 years with a combat deployment to Afghanistan. My last UH-60 flight was almost 10 years ago! Now I’m much more focused on my lovely wife, daughter, and son on the way! I don’t tweet often, but it will most likely involve faith, aviation, or robots!

I had no idea the 337 had a military variant. Or the other way around? Amazing.

This Vietnam era Cessna O-2A Skymaster FAC has seen some shiat. The description had me at "tractor-pusher propeller arrangement" and "wing pylons for rockets". It definitely has a Texas countryside militia feel to it. I'll take two please.🤘😎

@BillAckman We shouldn’t be hoping people get surgeries to sterilize themselves. We should hope for their flourishing. And for more babies that can flourish in future generations.

@tshugart3 A NOTAM is the thing that tells you the ILS is out of service and to use the RNAV approach instead!

Drones are building rope bridges now! Very interesting to see a bridge building algorithm paired with excellent motor control. Best Ranger Competition, here they come! via @YouTube

A robot making a hole in one honestly makes me appreciate humans even more. The precision in the engineering here is incredibly impressive, and it's a demonstration of the truly incredible fine motor skills and computational ability that humans have as well.

@Playteaux1 This radio call here is not from the video shown, either. The controller is certainly wrong here, but don't get the impression that this conversation was between an experienced controller at a large airport and a jetliner.

@TheAIVeteran My guess is that software and integration is really, really hard and they’re having to work a ton on that right now.

But this isn’t boring or mundane! 1) It is cutting edge tech for the industry 2) Really tough to engineer/design/integrate this hardware and software 3) Robots! Commercial applications come first, but this is the stuff that will be helping in our homes in the not too distant future!
