Well done to Ana, Isla and Ella who all performed brilliantly at the Scottish Schools with Ana running in the final of the U15 800m, and Ella and Isla in the U17 long jump and 200m. Special shoutout to Ella who came away with the bronze in the long jump🥉

Another great session for our juniors tonight. Track too dangerous with ice to use so the session was replicated on the grass. Big squad, great effort, amazing attitude. Well done all despite the limitations of our facilities.@scotathletics @active_nl @nlcpeople @ClareAdamsonSNP

@carriehutchens @nlcpeople @Law_DistrictAAC @scotathletics The future of Wishaw is very unclear. The biggest mistake was building that concrete circle at Ravenscraig which is literally useless. All we ask is for a functional, safe, maintained place for athletes to train. Wishaw is probably the worst athletics facility in Scotland.

Desperately need some help from @scotathletics @sportscotland @LanLiveSport to challenge the dreadful state of this facility. Tonight it’s flooding, caused by leaves which haven’t been swept since 2023. Most other weeks, they freeze. Hard to develop athletes with hands tied.
Warning for users of Wishaw track. Again, we’ve turned up for training with 40+ athletes to find the track is shut. No warning or notice. Completely unacceptable and causes potential welfare issues. Lack of maintenance solely to blame. @nlcpeople @Law_DistrictAAC @scotathletics
