Thank you for coming to the Lakers
@KingJames
I appreciate everything you’ve done for this franchise. I’m sorry we haven’t done a better job of surrounding you with the best and brightest. This franchise used to make me make proud for those things, but they just haven’t done it
As a Lakers fan for 44 years and counting I just have to say:
This is embarrassing
@JeanieBuss
. All the signs were there to fire this coach during the season. Instead now we’re stuck with this mess, and have to fire him for sure now.
Fit and compatibility matter and we had a
Just make Phil Handy the interim coach, and let’s start a real search for a qualified candidate now. The sooner the better. LeBron and AD aren’t getting any younger.
Dear
@JeanieBuss
,
I’m not going to be crass or ask you to sell the team. I appreciate that you are taking care of Bron, and I think drafting Bronny was cool. I look forward to seeing them play together this year. You also understand your Dad’s vision better than your brothers
The way Bronny plays defense is reason alone for why he deserves this opportunity. If he develops a good offensive game, people’s agendas are going to be completely cooked.
All of this bullshit post 2020 basically because the Lakers didn’t want to hire a coach that was “A LeBron Guy”, even though that coach was also a former Laker.
We’re lucky we got one with Vogel when we did.
As a long time fan I think it’s time to face the truth about this
Rui for Bruce Brown is a terrible trade. Rui was terrible in the playoffs this season, there’s no doubt about that. He was good in the playoffs the year before though, and he is still young. He also shot just over 42% from three last year. I wouldn’t touch that trade with a ten
I hope Bronny is a Laker next year, mostly because I think it would be cool as fuck to have father and son on the same team, but also because it’s going to piss a bunch of you whiners off.
The tumor (Darvin Ham) needs to be removed before we can address any of the other symptoms of why this team is mediocre. He’s the cancer that is killing this team.
Why are you making it about race, Stephen? This is asinine. The podcast was Maverick Carter’s idea, and it’s not LeBron’s fault that Darvin was shitting the bed at the same time.
Just because you think everything LeBron does is some sort of conspiracy doesn’t mean that he has to
Stephen A. Smith says black coaches have an issue with JJ Redick doing a podcast with LeBron James
"Numerous coaches, Black coaches called me expressing how they took issue with that podcast taking place."

Maybe if he did that when they were alone and they already had a joking relationship. Even then it’s still a little iffy as a joke though. Doing it in front of thousands of people is just mean spirited and unnecessary.
I tried to like Darvin and be patient with him. I really did. We all have our breaking points, and I guess now I know mine is telling me not to take these games so seriously.
Fuck you, Darvin! You made us enemies!
Please
@JeanieBuss
!!! This season is cooked, but if you take action now maybe we can get back on track next season. The longer you wait the harder it’s going to get.
This roster was fine, it was just mismanaged. They showed us on numerous occasions what they’re capable of. Unfortunately they couldn’t overcome all the favoritism and a coach who just is incapable of paying attention to details.
It’s really that simple, but everyone has their
@Bishop_Moore_90
@KingJames
He's a great basketball player, and an even better human being by all accounts. I was a fan of his before he became a Laker. I'm just grateful he took us back to the promised land one time, and helped us all mourn losing Kobe. I'll be forever grateful to him AD and that entire
This Dan Hurley saga has really reminded me how good I have it at home. My wife actually respects me and doesn’t treat me like a child by playing “text at the same time” games.
I’m pretty fucking grateful. 🙏🏻
Phil Handy got a tech last night, and it made me think. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Ham get a tech in the two years he’s been here.
Just fire Ham, and let Phil take over. He at least cares enough to take his hands out of his pockets and fight for this team.
#FireHam
Austin is getting killed for playing bad D, but this stupid scheme is leaving him on an island with elite offensive players way too often because of all the switching.
He had to guard Jokic at times in that first game of the season. I’ve been quiet about this too long. It’s
Should LeBron James seek the most money or the most flexibility to build a contender? 🤔

I’m glad the Lakers are staying quiet and taking their time. This process shouldn’t be rushed or dictated by what other teams are doing.
On a side note: The leaks have been minimal ever since they let the whole coaching staff go. It must have been someone on Darvin’s bench that
Los Angeles Lakers forward Christian Wood has exercised his $3 million player option for the 2024–25 season, league sources told
@hoopshype
. Wood appeared in 50 games for the Lakers and averaged 6.9 points and 5.1 rebounds in 17.4 minutes per game.
@MrChuckD
just became my 13th follower (That number has special significance to me also) . I can die happy now. His music has been making my life just a little bit better for over 30 years. Most of my heroes don't appear on no stamp either. Thank you for making my day.
Why does he need to be humble Rick? To make you feel more comfortable with your mediocrity?
People like this are the worst. Just be real, and tell everyone you’re jealous. Thats better than this self righteous bullshit.
He’s not ever going to clarify what the tweet was about, and he shouldn’t have to. As for the option this summer, I’m sure he’s not going to make that decision until he has to.
This uncertainty may drive some of you crazy, but it’s his prerogative. He’s earned this.
I’m
LeBron James declined to offer clarity on his ⌛️ tweet and when asked if he knows what he will do with his contract option for the Lakers this summer said, “No.”
Bronny James plans to sign a multiyear guaranteed rookie contract with the Los Angeles Lakers, sources tell
@TheAthletic
@Stadium
. The No. 55 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft starts his NBA career on the Lakers roster.
I never expected that tweet to go viral. I sent those thank you’s to Bron and AD because I was feeling like the season was cooked yesterday. Which led to me thinking about if this is Bron’s last chance to make another run for a chip, and it led me to thinking about 2020.
Which
It’s gonna be OK Lakers fans. Still multiple options out there. This is just a slower process this season because of all this extra verbal negotiation time.
Don’t panic, at least until we know they’ve actually fucked it up. Then we can all lose our shit together.
I think I’ve figured out the issue with Darvin. He’s got assistant coach syndrome. He’s so used to just being a contributor and not having to take any responsibility. He thinks he can just implement something and leave it alone.
Basketball just doesn’t work that way. This game
I’m a fan, Im allowed to be sentimental. Miss me with the cold hearted shit. I can accept business decisions when they happen. I accepted the Eddie Jones trade, even though it broke my heart, goddamnit. I’ll just never talk about these players like they don’t mean something to
@RichStapless
He keeps getting better, despite his athletic deficiencies. He’s got one of the best attitudes on the team, and he loves being here. Laker for life.
If Ham starts Vando tomorrow and goes back to DLo in the starting lineup, and it's successful I'm goin to laugh and laugh....and then probably cry because he should have done this weeks ago.
You want to know why I won't give Ham any credit for this turnaround? Because everything he was doing was stagnant until they had that meeting with players and coaches.
He didn't change shit. They did an intervention, and MADE him change shit.
I appreciate you too
@AntDavis23
Thank you for coming to the Lakers. I’ve appreciated everything you’ve done since being here and you’re having a great season that feels like it’s getting wasted right now. I’m sorry the front office didn’t get you a coach who appreciates how
Reason number 48,729 of why I don’t watch any of ESPN’s content that doesn’t involve a live game anymore. They are literally running out of shit to talk about. Dude hasn’t even finished his rookie season, he’s not even 21 yet, and you’re already making him out to be impatient?
As someone who’s seen multiple dynasties die, I tried to tell you all the writing was on the wall when we knocked them out of the playoffs last year. Do you believe me yet?
Gary Trent doesn’t fill a big enough need for us anyway. We’re still too guard heavy. Not bothered by missing out on him at all, and the fact Milwaukee got him for the minimum seems like a red flag too. 🤷♂️
This is disingenuous garbage, Bill. Stop lying to the people. They’ve said no to him many times before this, and he’s never actually demanded anything. It’s idiots like you that have helped pump life into this false narrative, simply because you yearn for “the good old days” when
You’ve got to be fucking kidding me. The Nuggets adjusted and he didn’t, AND he refused to call a challenge at a critical point in the game.
He LITERALLY cost us that game.
OK, I’m going to be the click whore today. Nothing says give me attention like an old man trying to dance.
Take that people who use LeBron or the Lakers to get clicks. I can be shameless too!
