This #HealthLiteracy work means a lot to me. Dr. Ottenbacher encouraged me to attend the 2016 TIGRR workshop to develop my idea. I came back and worked with @AngelleSand who made it better, and it later became a TBIMS Module Project w/ 5 rehab centers! 🙌🏾

Our new publication is based on my Texas @RCMARCC pilot grant from @utmbhealth using H-EPESE and linked Medicare data to examine pre-hospital life-space mobility and post-hospital outcomes among Mexican American older adults.
85% of older Mexican American Medicare Fee-for-Service beneficiaries reported limited pre-hospital life-space mobility. Pre-admission Life-Space Assessment scores were associated with 30-day readmission and mortality, not community discharge. #geriatrics
