Tekken is an amazing game because when I checked my featured clips tab on my Twitch frontpage I saw an orange rank Devil Jin player use a combo route completely unknown to me (1,2,3 -> 3,1) and it turned out to be the most optimal pickup
Can always learn new things from anyone!

I'll bite. Tekken 8 is fun, but not from the perspective of a COMPETITOR. It's obvious which target group they were aiming for and recent patches killing depth bit by bit shows that complexity is not the direction they want to take.

My opnion : Tekken 8 is not fun.

Just got to read the patch notes. Lab your strongest BT punish, Devil Jin's heatsmash recovers like ass. Will very likely be more susceptible to SWL than SWR the way it is now.
DB1+2 change is irrelevant, wakeup kicks don't launch on Counter Hit anymore

One of many reasons we get hit by heatsmashes so often is that depending on after what move you start blocking/backdashing, a neutral guard will get pierced by any heat smash. This makes heatsmashes against safe single backdashes(b n b, not KBD!!) extra degenerate...
