I would like to just ignore this stuff, but because despicable lowlifes like this keep posting obvious lies to try to downplay the worst terror attack in modern history and its consequences, let's go through the truth: Important context: Israel, like every country, has political divisions and finger-pointing. The interview in question is all about Gallant trying to deflect his own responsibility for the failures of 10/7 (he was the defense minister) and blame the war on those he has political disagreements with. Many would argue that he should face serious legal consequences, not for the lies about how the war was conducted, but for his failures leading up to it. With that said, let's go through the specific claims: Did Gallant admit 'Israel killed its own citizens on Oct. 7 under the "Hannibal Directive"'? No. First, let's be clear that the Hannibal Directive is an order to take out those attempting to take military hostages back to Gaza. It does not apply to attempts to take civilians hostages (which was most of the hostages). The referenced clip, which you will notice the people trying to make this claim cut off to 7 seconds, makes no such admission. In the longer clip, Gallant is asked about the orders he gave that morning as events were unfolding. At one point, one of the interviewers asks if he considered the Hannibal Directive. Gallant says his ability to give widespread orders was limited. He's asked if that order was given anywhere and concedes it was tactically invoked in some places. Now, the distinction people like Peter have been lying about, since the worthless clowns at Haaretz helped blur this line and then the terrorist propaganda arm Al Jazeera spread the lie, is between the order being given and it being executed. The reporting showed that around several bases that were under attack had someone issue the order according to their procedure, but there has so far not been one confirmed case of it being used. Not one. That isn't to say that there weren't Israelis killed in crossfire that day. Specifically, a thorough investigation of the failures at Kibbutz Be’eri found one instance of a shell fired at a home with Hamas members which also killed at least one Israeli. But these events were minimal and a direct result of Hamas using human shields from the very start. The reason people like Peter want to blur this line is they support the terrorists who executed the most despicable and savage attack in modern history. The same ones that video-taped themselves throwing grenades into bomb shelters full of people, shooting RPGs at various vehicles, and shooting thousands of innocent people. They want to deflect blame onto Israel for what the terrorists they support actually did. Except all of that is on video, much of it thanks to the terrorists themselves. () Did Hamas agree to a ceasefire in July? Gallant emphasizes a deal was on the table that he claims was better than the current deal. But he also concedes that Hamas withdrew from the earlier deal after details leaked to the press (again skipped over by Peter). Gallant was an advocate of a deal at any cost (perhaps because he feels a responsibility for there being hostages in the first place), which is not something that most Israelis are/were willing to sign up for. But an actual deal is more complicated than that because the goal is to bring the hostages home AND win the war. Gallant wasn’t actually involved in the negotiations. As part of the security cabinet, he would vote on the terms. But this whole framing ignores that Hamas kept backing out of deals every time they were close. As Anthony Blinken admitted, they would withdraw every time they saw daylight between the US and Israel or a potential for a larger war (. In July specifically, that's exactly what happened. Both factors came into play with Biden’s public comments and then Israel taking out Hezbollah’s Fuad Shukr near the end of the month. Anyways, Hamas launched a genocidal attack on 10/7 to start a war they had been planning for decades. There were numerous failures within Israel that led to the attack being much worse than it should have been, but the responsibility for the attack, the war, and the consequences of the war all belong to the terrorist group. A group that has since celebrated those consequences because they think they won some type of victory with Gaza’s destruction and the deaths that resulted.

@amasad What are you smoking dude?! Trump publicly commented on how impressive the pager operation was. Netanyahu gifted him a GOLD pager, you know because Trump loves everything gold. He also added a nice note on the gift calling Trump “Israel’s greatest ally” - you’re an idiot.
