⚽️🏏⛳️ “I’m told we have something called ‘panache’. Don’t worry, I’ve spoken to the doctor and we’re all having an injection next week to cure it.” J. McGrath
Absolutely made up for my cousin’s lad, Dom who has gone through his first round of radiotherapy. The opposition team got him this… lives and plays footy in Lytham, the opposition were a team of Blackpool fans. Now, I’m not a fan of that lot with the Tower, but a bit of class x
Millwall fans were the best at Deepdale this season purely for the fact they didn’t sing: ‘Football in a library’ and ‘Preston’s a shithole… I wanna go home’.
Well, the cat’s defo out of the bag. I’m finishing teaching at the end of the Summer term. It’s been a great 20 years, but the door has been opened to something new. To all the teachers out there… you have my 100% respect. The job has changed massively in the 20 years I’ve done.
Travelling for nigh on 24 hours… stopovers in 3 different countries. Tired isn’t the word, but we’ve made it and it’s hot! The work starts tomorrow!

Take a flag… wave it… put it back. Hardly a chore is it. People moaning for years that the match day experience is poor… people get off their backsides to do something about it… attendances up,,, performances better. Just put it back!
I’ve never seen a group of more panicky fans than North End. The OOC players have all been offered VERY good contracts, if they don’t want to take it... more on. It’s about the badge on the front of the shirt, not the name on the back. Up the Whites.
Massive thanks to anybody who donated boots, trainers, kit or bibs for the Preston North End ‘Academy’ in Gambia.
@TetleyTedPNE
has delivered over 70 pairs and the kids were so grateful and were praying for all those who donated.
Just walking through town with my
@pnefc
jacket on and the amount of people wanting to chat and shouts of, “Up the Whites!” is crazy. Seems the feel good factor is real!
Think North End should do a mad promotion for Tuesday. £1 or something. Get the home buzz back. It’s no coincidence we aren’t great at home but getting great results away. Deepdale is a morgue. Lift the players. Surely worth trying.
Does anybody know anybody who is struggling this Christmas? I’ve a Samsung TV and Blue Ray player free to a good home. DM if you know a family who could make use of it.
Just thinking back to yesterday. Second away game in a row that I’ve left after 60 minutes. I’ve never felt so much apathy towards the club… even under Westley. I can see how people who are out of the habit simply don’t return. The club is so far detached from the support.
No other manager has given as much game time to young lads, so fair play RL. Lads will grow and develop being around the 1st team. Nobody is suggesting they are the finished article, but they’ll only get better.
Sod it, this is MY club, this is OUR club. See you all in Teeside. Up the frustrating whites. We’ve been there longer than the current hierarchy and will still be around long after they’ve gone.
So, the government have ordered 9000 air purifying units for schools. There are 32000 schools… that’s approximately 0.28 of a unit per school.
Now, which of our 15 classrooms shall we put our 0.28 of a unit in?
Love the allocation for Blackpool. And not just because it’s them; we need to stop being a soft touch at home and laying it on thick for away fans. Look after your home fans… who cares if the away fans love coming to Deepdale. In fact, it does you no favours in the long run.
10 years since the Norwegian Branch walked into the wrong pub in Preston! A strong friendship developed. We’ve been through births and marriages, companies come and go and the topsy turvy rollercoaster that is
@pnefc
. Brothers in arms.

Just walking past a mate’s house. Not a mate who I’d necessarily see a lot or even ring or message, but somebody who I’d have a good natter to on the football. Just realised it’s not really the football I’m missing, but seeing these characters... the extended football family.
Thought Ched ran his socks off today and put in a right shift. 10 minutes into the 2nd half, there was only one winner. Millwall looked like scoring every time they attacked. Bizarre substitutions for me?
I wasn’t pro-Neil or anti-Neil. I felt he’d been dealt a bad hand... one thing is for certain though, it had gone stale and needed a change and I’m not convinced we would’ve stayed up. Credit to McAvoy, but I think the club needs a shake up in the summer.
Young Best has his critics but he was heavily involved for the first two goals yesterday and I bet his points per start is one of the highest in the squad.
When Sean’s wife passed away, I spent a lot of time with him. He taught me so much and had some amazing stories. He’s reunited with his soulmate and out of pain. Sleep well Amigo. x
💙 The club is saddened to learn of the passing of former player Sean Haslegrave at the age of 68. The thoughts of everyone at
#pnefc
are with Sean's family and friends.

Absolutely gobsmacked… picked up a coat as it was left by the side of a football pitch in the rain. Phone in pocket… located owner. Owner’s mum picked it up. Not a thank you, but demanded money for petrol for driving to pick it up!!
I tell you what changed that game… the sliding tackle by the tunnel (I’m not actually sure who did it). It ignited the Town End and sparked them into life. Players responded. Deepdale has been a morgue for far too long.
Playing golf tonight and some kids were hiding in the bushes and had an air horn just on impact. They then legged it off. Cracked me up… good to see kids being kids.
49 clubs been in the Prem. I’ve always hoped we’d be the 50th. Sadly, Brentford will pip us to that... well, not pip us, absolutely annihilate us. In fact, I’d wager Salford will get there before us!! The whole club needs a shake up from the top to the bottom.

My thoughts on the game:
🟡Probably edged it.
🟡Should’ve had a pen.
🟡Browne better 2nd half.
🟡McCann very good.
🟡Besty looked comfortable.
🟡Best will encourage attacking play.
🟡Better than I thought after pre-season.
🟡Keane was decent.
Massive job in the summer. Too many players not good enough. Too many players on the beach. Conceding too many goals under Lowe. Rovers looked faster, fitter and up for it.
Tokes - empty building… Old cinema - empty… Orphanage - empty.
Either we have some little tinkers with a box of matches, or something dodgy is going on!
I’m not sure I understand these ridiculous rules anymore. Classes at school isolating for 10 days, ruining family plans… teachers, TAs all out of action. Proms cancelled, tournaments cancelled, productions cancelled. But footballers’ politicians and celebs are exempt??
Diaby is a real enigma.
The majority of the time he looks a complete liability. The odd game he looks completely flawless - a Rolls Royce. However, he cares and I like that.
Sad to hear of a local headteacher dying only a couple of years after retiring. I tell you one thing, I’m retiring as soon as I can! Work to live not live to work.
