Hard not to feel a little bit sad how it’s all ended for Tom Barkhuizen at North End. A player who leaves quietly yet still made a very big noise. Been a brilliant player for us, exhilarating at times. We never did see him kiss the badge. Wish him all the very best.

We’ve had better midfielders but very few with the same heart, hunger, love. Someone so relatable, someone who conveyed the feeling on the terraces into his performances on the pitch, someone who reflected the city and personified the club. Alan Browne is a modern day great.
