The south is of course renowned for its lack of racism. That’s why Chelsea supporters are always happy to allow people of a different skin colour onto trains.
He put millions in and didn’t take anything out but pride and love for his football club. He took the reigns with the club in turmoil and left it in the Championship and not a penny of debt. Let that be his legacy. A Preston man. A Preston legend.
I’ll have a beer tonight and think of the good times. Of which there were many. Alex Neil came here and made us dare to dream. As our golden nuggets have dwindled away one by one, there goes the last of them. Preston has not just lost a great footballing mind, but a true believer
Hard not to feel a little bit sad how it’s all ended for Tom Barkhuizen at North End. A player who leaves quietly yet still made a very big noise. Been a brilliant player for us, exhilarating at times. We never did see him kiss the badge. Wish him all the very best.
An absolute fucking disgrace. Fucking VILE. Jack Catterall had to wait and wait and wait for tonight. He went to Scotland and beat the MAN. The worst sport in the world.

Yeah that bunch of little Somalia and little Karachi that are currently doing an outstanding job of sustaining our NHS. Wrong’un.
We’ve had better midfielders but very few with the same heart, hunger, love. Someone so relatable, someone who conveyed the feeling on the terraces into his performances on the pitch, someone who reflected the city and personified the club. Alan Browne is a modern day great.
Fifth paragraph the key part here for me. Twitter has been a vile place post final whistle last night. Utterly embarrassing and frankly people need to have a look at themselves and ponder how they interact with other human beings. In most cases, people they don’t even know.
New contract for Alan Browne. Signing the much touted best player in League One. Extremely competitive contracts offered to Pearson, Davies and DJ. But at least we have a new training ground. Unprecedented backing in a pandemic. T. J Hemmings - Preston legend.
Farewell Frankie. A doomed experiment from the off but one he should be proud of himself for having the courage to take. It was just too big a task. All the best.
All the agony. All the heartache. All the abuse for being a bottle job. Michael Smith - WORLD DARTS CHAMPION. Get in my son. Simply one of the most naturally talented sports people of my lifetime. Emotional.
Jim Bentley leaving Morecambe. The Football League’s current longest serving manager and hasn’t paid a transfer fee during that time. He’s done a terrific job keeping the shrimps in the league year in year on an absolute pittance. Exciting opportunities at AFC Fylde.
North End full value for the point tonight. Perhaps a case of what could’ve been, but nevertheless yet another Tuesday night producing the goods. Worth every single penny of the £33. One love. Preston North End.

🤝 Really proud to become the LEP's new PNE reporter. Ready to be there every step of the way this season and motivated to keep covering North End the best I can. On to Hillsborough tomorrow 👍⚽️

Anti-Alex Neil Preston fan bingo:
- Cult, bordering on obsession
- Move on
- No rapport with fans
- Turgid football
- Anthony Gordon
Meanwhile, he’s been cherrypicked by a big club again… 😱
May as well stop playing darts now. Drama will never get more intense than that. I’ve scarcely felt more for a sports person. Epic, epic, epic. Darts. Yeah. Darts.
Knew the DJ news was coming but it’s still a bit of a sucker punch. Joyful player to watch, often seemed to be playing the game half a second in front of everyone else. Very, very lucky to have him as long as we did. 🇯🇲

North End owner's representative Peter Ridsdale on the financial impact on football clubs during the

pandemic, season tickets and the club moving to a training facility in

God bless Queen Elizabeth II. To celebrate this news if you are anti-monarchy is to totally miss the point. A brilliant, pioneering head of state whether she had a mandate or not. A sorry loss to this nation. 🇬🇧
Them lads can keep their heads firmly high. Played extremely well today and a lapse in concentration/quality striker is the difference. Lack of cutting edge again. Painful but proud.

Actually wrote this (with a few tears in my eyes) a few days ago thinking Davies was going to Celtic. Farewell to the two Ben’s. Have a read if you fancy.

North End full value for a big three points tonight. Fisher and Hughes showed their worth in the side. Stockley had a very positive impact and perhaps unlucky not to have a goal next to his name. Three unbeaten with winnable games to come. Strap me in 😎😎😎

That’s we must say:
Thank you Peter Ridsdale, the songs we’re signing
Thanks for all the cash you’re spending
Who can live without him? I ask in all honesty
Where we would we be?
Without a penny of debt, PNE
So I say thank you Peter Ridsdale
For bringing Mads to me.
Loved watching Greg Cunningham. Predominantly first spell with his pace and genuine quality in his left foot. Had some fun moments on his return, his charming looks remained the same, but this seems an appropriate time to part ways. Hope he continues to thrive in life.
Deserves so much credit, and that’s irrespective of whether you agree or disagree with the opinions expressed on FTF. PNEFC a better place for their existence.
This year’s been mad, one full of opportunity & growth. At times my head’s been up my arse but I’m looking forward to spending some time with friends and family.
Also, thanks to anyone who’s listened to

, I love it and it’s like my therapy.
Happy Christmas all! 🎄
I wonder if those who put so much wasted energy into their dismay at this fixture being snubbed will now get behind the campaign to save the Deepdale Labour Club, an institution that was always going to suffer for the introduction of the Fanzone.
