@bphillipsonMP What happens to those who decide to change career in the future, and find their options are limited, because no one had asked them to even try and get their Maths and English skills whilst they were still young.

@educationgovuk I'm sure children will have a great start being cared for by someone who didn't even need to pass basic Maths and English since you've decided to scrap that requirement for apprenticeships.

@dshensmith Without basic English skills, they'd find it hard to understand and pass the CSCS test, which means they wouldn't even be allowed on many construction sites.
