On Friday afternoon my grandmother Linda "Nino" Larkin passed away peacefully after a long fight with cancer. I greatly appreciate your prayers for her and my family and I'm incredibly thankful to have had her love.

Federal employee retirements are processed using paper, by hand, in an old limestone mine in Pennsylvania. 700+ mine workers operate 230 feet underground to process ~10,000 applications per month, which are stored in manila envelopes and cardboard boxes. The retirement process takes multiple months.

The Nation's Capital takes on a light dusting of snow.
That is some serious salt spread in Washington DC. Going to take 3 feet of snow to take down this road and salt. Check out that salty dust cloud down the road. Expecting 3-6” of snow here today and tonight. I’ll be live again on @accuweather later today.
