I’ve been covering the wave of pro-Palestinian protests targeting Democratic elected officials in CT for weeks now.
To date, those officials have mostly ignored or cordially acknowledged the protestors. Today, Gov. Lamont fired back when he was confronted by a group at SCSU:

Lamont’s Harris-Walz t-shirt is homemade. It’s the handiwork of one of his most trusted staffers who turned the whole project around on very short notice.

I’m no expert, but I’m assuming the people who approve helicopter sales are not the same people who handle housing and therefore could not possibly prioritize one thing over the other.
If you listen to a lot of Tucker Carlson (which I do) one thing he says frequently is that he doesn’t go online that much, but there’s no shot someone could say “Chapo Trap House” with as much contempt as he does unless they scroll Twitter in the dead of night.
If you are a Connecticut politician and you post a pun or reference to ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ on your official accounts, prepare to answer questions from me that will determine if you actually listened to the album or just followed the trend and had staff make the post.
One of the things you have to be able to do to get IN to the University OF Connecticut is understand the difference between those two words (see photo).
The University of Connecticut is going to fine and block internet access to students that do not get the vaccine.
If you do not understand that there is something purely evil involved right now in terms of these vaccines you will never understand.

This is the flag I got at my naturalization ceremony. It’s small, but it means a lot to me. When I see someone flying the flag, I assume it means a lot to them too. If I find out they have politics I disagree with, that’s ok. I’ll still fly my flag.
Today, flying the American flag from the back of a pickup truck or over a lawn is increasingly seen as a clue, albeit an imperfect one, to a person’s political affiliation in a deeply divided nation.

Connecticut’s DNC delegates will take a virtual vote tomorrow evening to award all of the state’s delegates to Vice President Harris.
Here’s the email sent by the CT Dems executive director to the delegates:
Protesters disrupted Gov. Ned Lamont’s State of the State address.
It’s the latest in a series of pro-Palestinian disruptions of Connecticut elected officials.

(1/3) Never a dull day in Bridgeport…
I obtained this email sent by City Councilwoman Maria Pereira to Bpt. officials.
Among other things, she referred to an Arab American man as “possibly a Hamas terrorist” and attacked the appearance of a well-respected city staffer.
Had a great bite to eat at Parkville Market this afternoon with

Hey! I know that guy with the microphone.
But seriously, the Bridgeport ballot stuffing story now has national traction and is being boosted by arguably the most prominent person in the world. What happens here in CT matters.
Judge orders a new election in Connecticut town after surveillance video showed ballot stuffing in drop boxes!
That this happened here is beyond reasonable doubt. The only question is how common it is.
New—a business jet that had been scheduled to fly from Knox County, ME (where Gov. Lamont vacations) to Chicago this morning has filed a new flight plan for Oxford, CT.
It appears Lamont is delaying his trip to the DNC in Chicago to come back to CT to survey the flood damage.

NEW TONIGHT—
On a Zoom call this evening, Connecticut’s DNC delegates have voted to award all of the state’s delegates to Vice President Kamala Harris.
The vote was non-binding. Two abstained. The rest in favor.
CT has 60 district/at-large/PLEO delegates + 14 super delegates.
Here’s a portion of my interviews with Sarah, an organizer supporting the “uncommitted” vote, and Sen. Blumenthal.
Supporters of the “vote uncommitted” movement argue that their votes could make the difference in November—
@ryangrim
highlights the numbers in Wisconsin.
The “uninstructed” vote in Wisconsin is on track to hit 10 percent, and roughly 30,000, maybe more.
That’s significantly more votes than made up Biden’s margin over Trump in 2020 in Wisconsin.
Everybody likes talking about Bernie but let’s not forget the other friendly New England US Senator who has one good winter jacket, supports Medicare for All, and was an original cosponsor of the Green New Deal.
Quite a line from State Rep. Doug Dubitsky during debate over a bill that would create a task force on the effects of energy drinks and require retailers to post health warnings:
If you’re sitting in a box with any elected official, it’s polite to say hello and shake their hand-regardless of party. If these Twitter people expended half their energy on substantive issues instead of trying to cancel Vince Vaughn, maybe we wouldn’t be in this mess.
Happy Election Day, Connecticut!

Seconds after the end of the President’s press conference, Jim Himes of Connecticut calls for him to step aside from his Presidential campaign.
He is the first member of Connecticut’s Congressional delegation to publicly call for Biden to exit the race.
Joe Biden’s record of public service is unrivaled. His accomplishments are immense. His legacy as a great president is secure.
He must not risk that legacy, those accomplishments and American democracy to soldier on in the face of the horrors promised by Donald Trump.
Nick has been one of Pete Buttigieg’s best supporters. His work for the campaign will have a lasting impact and his activism has been an inspiration for student organizers across the country. Excited to see what Nick does next!
Any Democratic state representative who votes against recreational cannabis is going to have a *very* hard time finding student volunteers/supporters in ‘22.

He’s in Wethersfield with Mayor Ken Lesser and State Senator Matt Lesser.
In typical Lamontian fashion, he says he wants to let towns do “more with Lesser.”
Abdul Osmanu, the Hamden Council member who is one of the only Democratic Socialists in elected office in CT, is running for State Rep.
He says he has the endorsement of the apparently retiring Robyn Porter.
Dems officially endorsed Steve Winter at the district’s convention.
Attached press release goes in depth but more importantly I need your help! We need to petition to get onto the ballot and give the people of the 94th the representation they deserve in Hartford!
The safety of law enforcement and the peaceful apprehension of the suspect should be paramount.
But let’s be very honest with ourselves, our society is more willing to say “this is not who you are” to a white man accused of double homicide than a black man who wrote a bad check.
@Rodericka17
It would have taken a lot of energy for me not to start that tweet with “Hey there Delilah...” But I guess that’s why they hire pros to do rapid response.
You heard it here first:
There will be NO special session to consider an electric vehicle mandate in CT, according to a senior Democratic source.
Gov. Lamont had been pushing for a special session after the original EV regs failed in November.
Just one example of Hearst reporting…
I know many of my followers have been closely watching the Bridgeport ballot scandal.

We ask that Hearst voluntarily recognize our unit so we may begin negotiating a contract that benefits all parties, including our communities.

It’s the first day of early voting in Connecticut—
I’m at Hartford City Hall in to see how the process is playing out. News 8 photographer extraordinaire Kevin Frederick cast his vote just now.
Are you planning on voting early this year?
I convinced a buddy from UConn to drive an hour to canvas for

As Connecticut receives a historic amount of federal funding intended to provide relief and investment in our state, we must work to establish proper safeguards, openness, and accountability.

I have spoken with organizers and activists in the pro-Palestine protest movement in CT. Many come from Palestinian backgrounds themselves. Some have spent considerable time in the occupied West Bank.
If you polled Gen Z and asked us if we believe civilization as we know it will end in our lifetimes, I think you’d get a surprisingly high number who answer ‘yes’

He’s been a mainstay behind the plate for the Democratic team. In his absence, no Connecticut lawmakers are playing tonight.
