@eyeslasho Tons of them are employed by the federal government and through grants to promote DEI. Combine that with most big companies making meritocracy fashionable again and now these people are gonna be forced to offer something of real value in the marketplace in order to make a living.
The black upper-middle professional class would barely exist if not for lavish preferential treatment black applicants receive in admission to graduate and professional programs. So I'm not "dangerously close" to assuming that a black person in a highly cognitively-demanding professional position is in most cases going to be less qualified than a white or Asian person. I'm already there.

Unpopular opinion: The Beatles are not good and they never were. Their songs hurt my ears. I’ve heard packs of rabid coyotes I found more musically interesting. Their success is just proof to me of how powerful a social contagion + marketing can be. Now you can yell at me.
