India's Chandrayaan captured one of the clearest shots of the Apollo landing sites I've ever seen!
It's been 51 years since humanity has ventured out of Earth. It's about time we do it again!

The future of Human space exploration is bright!
A NASA spokesperson says it’s received a stay from the judge overseeing Blue Origin’s federal lawsuit, meaning work on the HLS contract must once again come to a halt.
Based on the Starliner's challenges, I have a huge respect for the SpaceX's Dragon team.
To all the engineers, technicians, and managers who worked hard to safely fly humans to the orbit and back, thank you so much!
From the beginning, New Shepard was designed to fly above the Kármán line so none of our astronauts have an asterisk next to their name. For 96% of the world’s population, space begins 100 km up at the internationally recognized Kármán line.
@deltaIV9250
Imperial records are incorrect. It was the mentat Oppenheimer who constructed the first atomics. Mentat Einstein originally believed such weapons to be out of bounds of physics.
For reference when NASA encountered issues with Crew Dragon's parachutes, SpaceX conducted *27* tests of their Mark III parachutes to certify them for flight.
Huge respect to the team!
What I heard from the Starliner media briefing: 1 chute out could be caused by a number of different single faults. Without the softlinks re-designed, 1 chute out could result in a catastrophic failure of other two. Q: How many drop tests will be required after re-design?
So, we have 5 crewed launch vehicles in development! FIVE!
Starship, Neutron, Vulcan, New Glenn, and SLS.
The future cannot be more bright for Human Spaceflight!
@BellikOzan
it's funny how the discussions panned from Starship won't make it to orbit to Starship won't make it to Mars. 20 years down the line, people will be crying that Starship won't make it to the outer solar system.

Thank you to
@Lori_Garver
for pursing Commercial Crew Program even if it was not received well by the Congress. I hope they recognize the similarities between CCP and HLS and realize the importance of commercialized lunar lander.
Love you, NASA! ❤️

Mary is toasting herself in the Texas heat and shooting videos for us while your lazy ass is complaining about few ads, smh! 🤦🏽♂️
That ad revenue is also crucial for acquiring and maintaining the resources required to get those vids.
I have a long feature article on the Mars Ingenuity mission, and its prolonged battle to get a spot on the Perseverance rover. If you want the inside story, this is it:
In mere 6 months, SpaceX reconstructed their launch pad at Starbase and readied Ship 25 and Booster 9 for IFT-2.
An FAA license is expected at end of October with a launch slated for early to mid-November, according to sources.

My dad, who’s in construction and infrastructure, says it’ll take at least 28 days for concrete to fully mature. Although it also depends how deep the concrete is.

I concur. Making life multi planetary >> getting involved in politics
…which, in the history of human civilization, has always been broken.
@SenSanders
So those employees don’t get paid? Most of the space exploration effort is still funded by NASA for scientific research.
All you need is a 5 minute research on NASA’s website.
2 years ago, the commercial launch industry changed forever as
@SpaceX
launched NASA Astronauts Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley to the International Space Station.
When Firefly Alpha’s maiden launch ended with FTS activation, it rained down carbon composites on people’s backyard.
Guess what, they’re returning to flight soon.
We recently finished building our latest structural test stand. We'll use this to apply forces to the printed structures in order to simulate the thrust and aerodynamic loads that happen during flight!
#RelativitySpace
@garyncarl
Pretty soon. I don’t feel the need to blow several up to get some limited initial capability, so we’ll follow a more disciplined development approach, similar to Vulcan. PDR was recently completed. Full scale sea tests finished, wind tunnel testing went well. CDR next.
When the star hopper was being developed, I was an avid fan.

Composed of ceramic, they provide excellent thermal insulation while being tough and resistant, needed to protect the Ship during the reentry.
Leaked emails from ULA's VP of government communications provide insight into the company's effort to smear Elon Musk, SpaceX, and their relationship with Trump-era NASA.
@DJSnM
Not necessarily, according to NASA: "Candidates also must have at least two years of related, progressively responsible professional experience, OR at least 1,000 hours of pilot-in-command time in jet aircraft.”

It just blows my mind that I can watch an eclipse from an another planet which is millions of miles far; from my mobile phone! Amazing! 🤯🤯

Still can’t get over how Biden didn’t invite Tesla at the EV summit and praised GM for “leading the EV revolution.” I think you can support unions and still praise Tesla for what they’ve done.

- New Glenn Highbay + HIF
- Completed LC-36
- New Glenn to fly crew
@wapodavenport
FAA did the agency wide safety culture review of SpaceX since they violated their launch license, but NASA can’t do Boeing’s? Doesn’t seem right to me.
@StephenClark1
Obviously Stephen, this makes so much sense. They don't want anyone to *copy* SLS, let alone helping adversaries develop cryogenic ICBMs.
With Neutron and Terran R being reusable, the message is clear. Expendable rockets are NOT sustainable and shouldn’t be developed!
Reusability is key to survive!
Wow NASA, that’s completely unacceptable. I’m beyond shock!!
The guy turned the whole community around a rocket which was hated since it’s inception. What more do you want for a person to be media?

This is the most widespread the knowledge and the access of it has been.

Did it reach orbit? Nope.
Did SpaceX accelerate the program by testing out their systems?
Yes.
