I grew up the 7th of 8 children with my dad on a Sargent’s pay. I never had seconds . Only powdered milk ( has no fat) and plain tea (no cola)
Didn’t eat Coke or Fritos until I was 16. Had real milk at age 18. Somehow I got all I needed to grow despite the limited diet 😃

I had the same thing. I had 20/400 in my left eye and 20/200 in my right . Didn’t get noticed until 5th grade when my mother was a substitute teacher in my class. I had never been able to see the blackboard, so I memorized everything I heard. I had gotten straight “A”s x 5 years.
