Growing up I played a lot of Durak, it's one of my favorite card games. To test Claude Sonnet in @Replit I made a web version of Durak entirely with AI prompts. You can check it out here at and view the rules of Durak here at .

@garrytan The key to understanding he was full of 🧢as a trader was his bronze league rating in LoL, that was a major red flag. If you can't reach the top 98% in a competitive video game you love and play all the time, very low chance you're +EV at trading which is more competitive.

@Scobleizer @pootlepress Multimodal systems are already possible by chaining together specialized unimodal models. Here's an example from my company's platform. This system can generate a library catalogue with titles and author names from a photograph of bookshelves.

@BasedDaedalus There's an apocryphal story that McAfee got his first VC by doing what happens in this scene, slamming a floppy with a virus in it into a VC's computer and pitching his product. Good example of selling the solution by introducing the problem, or too far?

7 years from now an 18 year old will enter a federal prison and sit down next to a jail hardened SBF only to be pitched a scheme where they can earn 5-8% yield on their canned mackerel. They'll have no idea what FTX was, they'll only know him by his gang name: "Skill Issue."

@BasedBeffJezos There's things you can do best with a face account and things you can do best with an anon account. Anon allows your ideas to be bigger than your personality, best for posting about theory, philosophy etc while still having a name people can attribute to them as a shorthand.

48GB VRAM consumer-grade GPUs in ~2025 will bring a huge return of the utility of desktops to work vs laptops. Too much value in being able to leverage multiple small local AI models to accelerate work. The 48gb cards will be too beefy for a laptop. 4090 laptop is a rebadged 4080

I'm so bullish about LLM wrapper companies that I'm building a company that lets you make an LLM wrapper company without knowing anything about coding. You might need to know something about making a company. Or you can just ask your wrapper what you need to know.

Hardware limitations necessitate the development of a middle layer for AI. Progress in hardware = extremely slow, linear Cost of AI hardware = very expensive, going up exponentially AI market value = expected 20x over 5 years Middle layers will be what fuels this growth. 1/2

@chrisprucha many of the dangers AI doomers are afraid of are already regulated. making bioweapons in a secret lab is already illegal. even if AI facilitates the acquisition of knowledge and research, you still would need a sophisticated lab, a lot of personnel, etc, it'd be very visible.

Scarcity of resources (particularly VRAM) forces AI model makers to develop models specialized at ONE THING. Creating robust systems will involve chaining these models together, think how a brain connects different specialized organs together to enable the life of an organism.

@garrytan Many competitive games are a good proxy for IQ. For example, 98% of poker players lose, in the long run it's an IQ test. If you can't make it to the top 2% in your favorite game, you probably can't make it as a trader, it's more competitive than poker. Esp if it's no $ stakes.

@Don_El_Wood @Scobleizer @pootlepress Yes! A major advantage of a system like this too is we support a wide variety of models for every use case. Replacing one with another is as simple as drag and drop. Decide DALL-E is better today than Midjourney was yesterday? Just drag and drop, keep the same workflow.
