My proudest moment. Definitely remember Joe’s name— you will be hearing it again. Thanks, David @wildstein.

We have always known the support, efforts and endorsements of county political organizations are worth something. Apart from the line. Yielding that lane entirely to one candidate statewide while the rest of the field goes without may be prohibitive, absent some other advantage.
Breaking: gubernatorial candidate @JonBramnick won't compete in GOP conventions for organization endorsements.

Manifest Duncery.
Good morning, Georgia. Your @RepBuddyCarter has unveiled a new bill to let President Trump negotiate to “purchase or otherwise acquire” Greenland and rename it “Red, White and Blueland.” Welcome to America?

@urmyalibidude @ChrisSmithNJCD4 Fair enough. Cuts are important, whether they wind up adding up to real money or not, because they show taxpayers everyone is doing their part. We’ll see where they land here.

@urmyalibidude @ChrisSmithNJCD4 See, I think government officials who say they treat people differently because of their skin color isn't a woke problem. There shouldn't be two sides here, because treating people differently isn't what we're supposed to be about. That was the tweet. You're changing the subject.

@urmyalibidude @ChrisSmithNJCD4 Yeah, I'm weird like that. When someone tells me who they are, I believe them.

@PeterTina973 No one is obsessed with anything. Should candidates not do what they say they’re going to do, or is that not a thing anymore?

Old enough to remember when Americans were mortified by a weird government that told its citizens how many children to have.
The Department of Transportation says its grants, loans, and contracts will now "prioritize projects and goals that ... give preference to communities with [above-average] marriage and birth rates" (fig. 1) Well, the decline in marriage is highly correlated to income, especially local male income. (fig. 2) So, if you want to increase marriage, you want to get more income into the pockets and neighborhoods where marriage rates are falling. Maybe you encourage college attendance or training, or offer supplemental income programs, to the low-income. But if you funnel DOT spending away from low-marriage zones, you might end up punishing poor areas for ... their poorness. That would reduce local male earnings even further, which could reduce marriage even further, which DOT would interpret as "well, this place clearly isn't cut out for grants," ... and now you're just perpetuating the cycle you say you want to stop.

@Beau4Congress @Josh4Jersey @MikieSherrill @SteveSweeney_NJ @spillerfornj @StevenFulop @rasjbaraka No one defends or justifies their role in Bridgegate except for Chris Christie. Here is a what if: can you imagine how much darker our politics would be right now if there was no New Jersey Globe?

@Beau4Congress @Josh4Jersey @MikieSherrill @SteveSweeney_NJ @spillerfornj @StevenFulop @rasjbaraka NJ journos will tell you there is no one with David’s institutional knowledge or relationships. These debates were not obligatory, yet every candidate signed on with David. He is my friend and I am proud of his contrition and his continuing contributions.
