@2manypeople4me @moribunddr Pressures that the whole system is under makes for more cohesive working, safer patient care, and flow throughout the hospital. Have a lovely weekend! āš»

@2manypeople4me @moribunddr No where have I suggested that! Youāll see repeatedly Iāve said we only ask them to do what we canāt on my unit. Are you aware of the interruptions the Nurses get when trying to do their role? This is not a them vs us; but more understanding of the

@2manypeople4me @The_Gusman @moribunddr Not at all, merely stating that we only ask them to do the parts of the discharge / discharge planning that we can not. Nurses are also doing the vital parts of our roles, and prioritising the needs of patients on the ward; but also those requiring admission to our specialty

@2manypeople4me @The_Gusman @moribunddr Not all patients in hospital are critically ill. Prioritising is important: Iāve never disputed that. Their role is extended. We only ask them to do what we canāt. And I donāt interrupt them every 15 min.

@2manypeople4me @moribunddr Arenāt you a delight on a Saturday morning! Everyone has their own roles and responsibilities to do, if youāve read any of the other messages, youād know Iām about the team work in my unit. Also, I donāt contact someone every 15 min!

@2manypeople4me @The_Gusman @moribunddr Arenāt you a delightful person. And no where have I said I contact the Dr every 15 minutes āš» and in order for us to ācrack onā and do that; we need the Drs to do other vital parts of their roles! Not just dealing with a critically ill patient that youāve gone in about in posts.

@2manypeople4me @moribunddr Actually yes, as part of my role and training. And completely agree we need more doctors. Something I have advocated for in my ward resulting in an increase, but also in Sr support on the floor every afternoon for help and teaching.

@The_Gusman @moribunddr Or, you are unaware of the pressures that they are under. Do tell me; what is it you do?

@The_Gusman @moribunddr Itās also within my role to protect them from external pressures to allow them to do their role with time, confidence and compassion! And thatās a convo I have will ALL the Drs when they come into my unit. So that we can have a good working relationship

@The_Gusman @moribunddr Weāre lucky that our Drs are on the ward. So no, not on the phone chasing them. Also making sure they are fed, watered and making sure they get a break. Not all nurses are the same..
