I do a clinical shift monthly, today I got feedback on the impact they have on staff!! I do them to keep me connected, the collateral benefit is that staff really value the Exec Nurse Director working with them, understanding their role/challenges. Tearful hearing the impact.
Absolutely delighted to have been appointed as the Executive Nurse Director for NHS Forth Valley this week. I am honoured and will work tirelessly to make a difference to the care and support of our patients and our staff.

Very sad to have lost our beautiful wee mum today. Huge thanks to East Kilbride District nurses, NHS Lanarkshire OOH GPs and all the amazing staff at Meldrum Gardens in East Kilbride who supported mum and us. A peaceful death achieved after a beautiful life well lived. GBNF mum x
To all the people feeling the pressure right now, know you are doing just grand, even if you feel a bit broken. Small steps is all we need to take and know you are not taking them alone. Fx
When you need help as a family and South Lanarkshire ICST team do exactly what they are designed to do. They keep this wee darling at home, safer, more confident and happier and her 5 kids sigh another sigh of relief, for a bit longer. Lucky to have you mum x
Hugely honoured to be given an Honorary Professorship by Glasgow Caledonian University School for Business and Society. Very humbled by this honour. Love making my family proud. Fx

@NHSLanarkshire
2020 was probably the most challenging year in all of our careers. The NHS in Scotland has been at the top of its game across the whole system and we should be immensely proud of what we have collectively achieved. Onwards and upwards into 2021, keep going, we are doing grand. Fx
Today is my two year anniversary at the Scottish Ambulance Service, it has been another interesting year. Thank you to all of my SAS work family for your continued support and dedication to driving forward the quality of care agenda.
Clinical shift today in sunny Coatbridge, military driver supporting great care. Experiential learning and clinical connection. Testing my clinical grey matter again. System as real versus system as imagined
Delighted that my lovely boy has got his first professional contract for an off West End musical in London. He is playing young Harry in "Letter to Harvey Milk" First of many I hope, onwards and upwards Chris. Proud mum indulgence. Fx
I still get frustrated and annoyed with myself when I get upset in a work environment. However, reading this I need to notice it is a strength not a weakness
Week one
@Scotambservice
complete, my brain is running at 100mph, I have met the most amazing, committed people, had my exec commander training and finally witnessed the student major incident simulation. Thank you for a great first week, recharging ready for more next week.
When getting vaccinated is the highlight of your year so far, you make the effort. Thanks to my lovely sister for getting my wee mum ready for this important event to protect her going forward.

So tonight is our boy's professional debut in the musical "Letter to Harvey Milk" at the Waterloo East Theatre in London. You deserve this opportunity for all your hard work. Break a leg Chris.

@NHSLanarkshire
staff are truly special people. Thanks for all your exceptional efforts. Frances
If we manage our mindset, WE WILL GET THROUGH THIS. We might wobble, however it's in our gift to try to keep some control. Keep calm and self distance or isolate. Key workers, the clue is in the title, you are key to keeping it going. Take care people, keep your heads clear.
Says it all, to all my nursing, midwifery, AHP, medical, managerial and support staff colleagues in the NHS, we can do hard things every day to support the populations we serve. Fx
So genuinely interested, does anyone else love a crisp sandwich for a Saturday afternoon lunch. It is a classic, dont knock it until you have tried it.
