MICROWAVE OR NO MICROWAVE- WE SHALL SERVE OUR MEN- OF TRADITIONAL INCONVENIENCES VS. MODERN CONVENIENCES : I have watched the video below concerning how some traditional men want to be treated in the modern era. For me, I think there shouldn’t be any noise about it. These are
But you people,don’t take this DNA thing to this level.This could be a weapon to threaten family stability & trust. Accept that those children are yours unless there is reasonable suspicion. How come your fathers didn’t subject you to DNA tests? They were clever & wiser.
Those of you who promised to marry people’s daughters this year 2023 , i am here to remind you that

A picture of myself in 1999 as a First Year Law Student at Makerere University attending the Makerere University Law Society Dinner, with my big brother Sam, who “protected”me from the other gender, then. Today, it is difficult to tight mark because of technology 😂😂
Flashback…The year was 2000 in my second year at Makerere University. Anyway, that day,I had gone to Africa Hall to check on my friend Linda.I was tired of “kikumi Kikumi” lunch so i strategically timed the lunch hour visit because Africa Hall had a special menu on thursdays.
27th March is a special day for me. According to my parents,this is the day i was born. My parents always remind me how i was born during the tarbulent times/war & what they faced. I dedicate this day to all children born during war and all mothers that gave birth during the war.
Today I posted on my FB page asking wellwishers to sponsor a clever son of a security guard who scored aggregate 5 and has been admitted to Ntare School.I am happy to announce that Ntare School OldBoys will be paying schoolfees for this boy.God bless Ntare OBs-you are a blessing
I am back to office from my place of rest (leave), where I was busy recharging my spiritual, emotional, physical, financial & intellectual batteries. 2024 will be a better year—special thanks to my patriotic colleagues

Did you see that son of Lovinsa who is planning to marry our daughter Provia? The one who pledged cement to the church project & was swinging keys of a new prado?
I hear mbu,he has no registered business with
@URSBHQ
😂😂😂
The day you realize that you have no capacity to make everyone happy, solve every challenge or contribute to every fundraising, is the day you will start living. Do what you can in the circumstances & leave the rest to others,there is too much demand & expectation in this world.
BEWARE OF THIS SENSITIVE PHASE IN MARRIAGES: As someone who interacts with young people and serves as a registrar of marriages, I have met several young couples who experience stress and strain in their marriage, especially in the first few years (typically 1 to 5 years). Many

But what is the meaning of this “Babandana” song by Grenade Official? It seems to be changing our street language..omubandana stylingana etc. So how do I say “Register your business” in the babandana language? Help me since this is the trend.
@URSBHQ

I recently completed a leadership course at the Harvard Kennedy School
@Kennedy_School
. It was great sharing Uganda’s successful leadership experiences. Sometimes you do not know how well you are doing until you hear from other countries. All leaders face the same challenges.
After successfully serving as Vice Chair of the World Intellectual Property Organization (
@WIPO
)Coordination committees since 2020,i have now been elected Vice Chair of WIPO General Assembly .The WIPO General Assembly gathers over 1200 delegates from 193 states & 95 observers.
I landed on a picture of myself receiving an Award from Bishop Paul Bakyenga who was our Chief Guest at the awarding Event in Maryhill High School Mbarara. I recall very well that I would go home with Awards every end of term in my secondary school life.
By the way,never invite me jokingly to your marriage function; just be sure I will show up🤣. However,I will first check with
@URSBHQ
to confirm whether that church/venue is licensed.I love the company of happy people in happy ceremonies hosted in licensed places, etc.
One of the most interesting cases in Law school was Hyde v Hyde & Woodmansee [1866].This case defined marriage as the voluntary union for life of one man & one woman to the exclusion of all others”. This means that marriage is between only two people , the rest are noise makers.
In this age of growing more leaders, delegation of duties,automation etc,you can never tell a client to wait for you until you return from your leave/break.Clients must be served & they do not have to wait until you are back from your holidays.Don’t personalise these offices.
It is always exciting to meet His Grace, the Archbishop
@Archbp_COU
, Dr. Steven Kaziimba, a brother in the Lord, family friend & fellow Arsenal supporter. We thank God for his ministry that is impacting multitudes.
We appreciate Mama D for participating in the cookathon.I am thinking of doing a “Readathon”, “Poolathon”or “Dancethon”. Readathon for reading. Poolathon for playing pool &Dancethon for dancing.I think I can read,play pool or dance for days. So what “thon”are u ready to give us?
Here thinking about that “ka-money” that was thrown away by an MP somewhere in East Africa. Do you know that money can register 417 businesses in Uganda?Registration fee of a business name is only Ushs.24,000(USD 6).Whoever picked that money, bring it & we register businesses.🏃♀️
In 1998 in my room in MaryHill High Sch.cutting my classmate’s hair.I have been a barber since I was 11 years. My room at home &school became a barber shop but I did it for free. Now I feel like charging all students,relatives, housemates that enjoyed my free services then & now.
One of the greatest achievements of an effective leader is to train & empower teams to effectively lead well in your absence. You need to take that rest/leave & allow others to take charge unless your job is too sensitive & unique that it doesn't permit you leave & rest.
I am sure some Ugandans will soon apply to register companies with names like “Messi Action Shots Investments Ltd” or “Mbappe Speed Goals Limited”. Anyway,
@URSBHQ
will be waiting to advise you on their registrability.
A single member company is one that has one person/shareholder.Do you know you can register a single member company in Uganda? The Companies Act of 2012 provides for sole proprietorship, so you do not have to hustle looking for other people before you start your business.
@URSBHQ
Today I am taking off time to fear people that operate successful businesses in Uganda but have avoided registering these businesses with
@URSBHQ
at all costs. I hope they know that such businesses have no legal existence.Anyone joining me in this fearing challenge?
Today is the day I was born and I thank God for the gift of life. I thank everyone that has been and continues to be part of my life. Life is good when you look at things in a positive way. Life is more meaningful when you add value to others.
Every time you see any leader, just know that they have a lot on their hands &heads, &they need support. Leaders deal with a lot of stuff(visible & invisible), so give them timely support. Prepare them in time to avoid making them appear clueless, uninformed & disorganized.
I play Snooker, Pool/billiard games alot. These games come with lots of lessons. When playing pool you have to focus, plan ahead, take risks, be ready lose,regulate your speed & energy,concentrate,read your opponent,predict,strategise,observe. These are life lessons we all need.
A time to chill. This world has a lot of forces,winds,waves & tensions. In whatever you do, keep it real, be authentic, be open & honest. Above all trust God. Enjoy your weekend.
I spent the whole day in Busoga ( Jinja City) celebrating the 38th Liberation Day Anniversary. The theme of the day was , “Building a Country We All Cherish.” Thanks to the our Basoga brothers & sisters for the good reception.
DON'T BE MISLED - HUMANS ARE NOT INDEPENDENT BUT INTERDEPENDENT: The idea of a modern, independent, self-made woman or man is misleading. The truth is that we all depend on each other. We succeeded because someone else helped, sheltered, supported us, along the way. Organizations
Fathers are special. My father was born in Kyeizoba-Igaara in Bushenyi in 1937. He moved to Mbarara for opportunities at 19 yrs in 1950s.He invited a number of people from Bushenyi to move to Mbarara for opportunities.Todate many wealthy people in Mbarara originate from Bushenyi.
Uganda is such a beautiful country and remains the Pearl of Africa. Ugandans are amazing happy and hospitable people. We thank God for the peaceful environment and natural resources. Let us promote the good in our country, the same way we promote our cultures and traditions .
Marketing goods &services is nolonger a preserve of the PR & Comms experts in that entity.Every employee that draws a salary from that entity is a brand champion,however,you never see them share any work-related flier/activity on their social media pages marketing their services.
Today I was honoured to be installed the 18th President of the Rotary Club of Bukoto. The theme for the Rotary year 2020/21 is ,” Rotary opens opportunities.” Indeed we are ready to open opportunities for others .
I love cooking. Cooking is not just about the food but about leadership & life lessons in the kitchen.When in the kitchen,you have to plan,prepare the ingredients&utensils,manage your time,regulate the heat&taste(salt & spices),be organized,clean,patient,experimental & share.
Punctuality involves keeping time for appointments,meetings,dates, assignments etc. I was taught to keep & respect people’s time from childhood & this is still a rule in our home. I find it very strange to see young people who do not respect time & are always chronically late.
I enjoy touring Kampala City,Wakiso etc to just to look at the level of development esp. in the construction sector & I always see new beautiful artistic structures.I celebrate our Architects,Designers,Engineers, financiers that play a critical role in national transformation.

Matters relating to validity of marriages are extremely SENSITIVE. Recently, a misleading article was published in a Newspaper stating that lack of registration of a marriage makes it null & void.This is a totally wrong,misleading & regrattable & must be disregarded. (Thread👇)
Here thinking that instead of the usual cocktails with hard & soft drinks and bites, can't we start hosting book lovers-readers & authors “cocktails” where we meet to discuss books & their application in everyday life?
So what Football teams played this evening and what was the score? I was busy in my kitchen cooking “katogo” of offals and i did not want to risk burning food by watching football. I still think cooking & football do not mix😂. I remain a faithful Arsenal supporter.
Oba why don’t supermarkets put a private payment section for only ladies undergarments & sanitary /personal effects?The way the tellers spread these undergarments for all to see, when we are paying !!! It’s worse when the queues are long &all eyes are you😂😂

People are going through alot of stress as a result of the COVID 19 pandemic and this is the time we need to show more care to the teams we lead. It is not always about pressing them for results , it is about ensuring your team is in the right state of mind to produce results.
SIZE DOESN'T MATTER: Guys, you need to be mindful when dealing with your communication & branding colleagues. They often have subtle ways of sending messages. For example, they might give you a small size of corporate wear as a gentle hint to shed a few pounds. Anyway, I decided
I landed on my 2014 Certificate of Appreciation from
@URSBHQ
when I was awarded as the smartest Employee of the year.This also reminds me of my school days,I would take home Awards at the end of every school term.I was always leading in leadership,drama, neatness,fine art, etc

Happy World Intellectual Property Day! As your IP Law Expert, I'm here to answer all your IP questions. Let's share ideas on boosting IP awareness in Uganda. Despite robust laws, institutions, and expertise, many still haven't protected their IP. Let's change that!

There is something the world & its people take for granted & this is PEACE.We need peace in the world, nations,families &individuals. Do not abuse the peace you have for we know everything thrives on peace & falls due to war. Be that peace maker,make peace,say no fights & war.
I have just overheard my Boda man tell a lady on the phone that he is busy with the NAM & G77 conference, &he is not available for her this week.I am here asking him why he lied to the lady & he has just said, “Madam, we need to survive in this Kampala.” The lies men tell us!!!!
If you are a leader and you expect everyone to support you,then just know you are in a wrong place. As soon as you take on that leadership position , expect people to doubt you,fight you and fail you.The beauty is that there are always those that will trust,support & defend you.
Every time you feel like your job has become a burden& stressful just think of the reason you applied for it,your life before that job &the many qualified people that have no jobs.When you are given a job,please do it very well.I know you people forget so fast. Anti Mwelabilanyo!
After a busy day, i passed by Mzee Charles,a tailor since the 1980’s. We chatted about family, children,business, education &values. He has a daughter who studied Biology,Chemistry &Maths in A’levels but needs support to join university. As a Rotarian I welcome any volunteer.
I have seen people hunting for land titles to prove their wealth but with Intellectual Property-IP (creativity& innovation) you don’t have to struggle hunting for land titles.Get your IP titles - osilike 😂. In Uganda you can use IP as collateral &
@URSBHQ
here to serve you.
When I was young,I took pictures in lovely places in Kampala to show our cousins&workers in Mbarara that I was “abroad.”Somehow,they believed. Today,I am not “abroad,”I am at Breene Cafe at

Uganda has the sweetest bananas. Anyway, when we were young, we were told that if we ate a lot of twin bananas, we would deliver twin babies. Oh, how I ate twin bananas. I still eat them. So what jokes or lies were you told at a young age & you believed?

So I have agreed to a “Music and dance battle” with my sister & friend Phiona Masanyaraze
@PhinaMusic256
. We only need a promoter. I couldn’t risk a battle with Hon. Hilary Kiyaga (Dr.Hilderman) with his famous double bed mazongoto & Amelia.
YES IT IS TRUE, we
@URSBHQ
surpassed our targeted Revenue Collections for the FY 21/22 by over 11 Billion Ug. Shs & registrations of Intellectual property, marriage,chattels & businesses. We also rescued many businesses that were almost failing. Why not toast to our country Ug?
This is how I entered 2023 after listening to President Y.K Museveni’s address that emphasized work & value proposition.And after listening to Ap.
@mosesmukisa
of
@worship_harvest
that emphasised fruitfulness.Therefore my game this year is to work smarter & bear fruits(results).

MOCKERY AND INDISCIPLINE : I recently saw a chat from a group screen shot where a mature and educated person mocked another person, referring to them as 'to have failed in some aspects of their private lives etc.' This is deeply troubling. There's a saying in my language: 'omuto
So we
@URSBHQ
had a Cowboy/girl end-of-year celebration this weekend. These young people with their themes!! We had a talent show, danced, sang songs, reconnected & gave thanks to God. I love to dance & I danced. We live, love & laugh no matter the circumstances & negativity.
MARRIAGE IS BEAUTIFUL:Though people and the media often focus on the negatives, very many couples are happy and thriving in their marriages.Marriage is beautiful and, like anything worthwhile,it requires effort, patience,and commitment.Enjoy your love &marriage unapologetically.
In leadership,there is a difference between giving strategic direction & dictatorship.However,some people think that a leader is a dictator when he or she gives strategic guidance,demands for results & excellence.We all must dig (work) to deliver results. No excuses.

Never find yourself in a situation in your work space,business space or relationship space where you feel that you have arrived & can never be replaced.The world out there has better options so give the best to that job, assignment,business &relationship when you still have them.
We all need to learn from other people’s experiences about life before and after retirement.Rotarian AIGP(Rtd)

THAT MARYHILL GIRL: You can easily recognize a girl who went through Maryhill High School- Mbarara by her distinctive qualities. We are confident and natural leaders. We are disciplined and believers in God. We are loyal and responsible in everything we do. We make good wives(
I always tell people that my best part of every wedding party is not the eating but the speeches. I enjoy listening to people speak, preach & teach—the very reason I avoid sitting next to unsettled & disruptive people. Always pay attention to the message & learn more.
When I was younger, I watched football with a lot of anxiety especially whenever my team Arsenal was playing Man-U. But later I learnt that in football, we just need to take the lessons of teamwork,defense,attack etc. These days i watch football in a relaxed mode.
Do you know why many people get into trouble?It’s b’se they do not draw their boundaries right.We need to draw work,life,family,friendship,business. politics,social media boundaries.The moment you cross any of the boundaries without consent,you will find yourself in much trouble.

A picture of myself, Akile & Ekirapa in 2000 being sworn in.I was taking oath to serve as the Vice President of the Makerere University Law Society.There is a lot of power in taking the oath.The oath carries legal,ethical &spiritual weight &must be adhered to.Never play with it.
Sometimes people play victims to avoid being held responsible for their actions/inactions.These people will blame anyone &anything for their self-inflicted problems.They will blame it on traffic jam,village neighbors,economy,so as to seek sympathy.Let victim playing stop in 2022.
When people make financial contributions to marriage events,projects,tuition etc,they contribute in their personal capacities, what they can afford &how many more requests they have beyond yours. So do not despise their contributions b’se of the position/office such people hold.
