Today morning, I addressed the Press regarding Church of England's decision to bless same sex marriages.
It's very unfortunate that The Church of England has departed from the Anglican faith and are now false
teachers.
Such scores in the last minutes amidst pressure remind me how God does great things even at the last minute.
Keep praying. Keep playing.
Well done
@Arsenal
!
Last night,
@Arsenal
did it again!
Nketiah, Smith Rowe and Saka scored.
What a spectacular performance against
@ChelseaFC
!
As we celebrate this 4-2 win, we continue to pray for our players and fans of other Clubs in the League especially
@ManUtd
.
May God comfort them!
My brother
@BishopOlwa
must be celebrating this win because he supports Liverpool.
The other day in Kotido, my good friend Rt Hon
@Thomas_Tayebwa
, who confessed that he supports
@ManUtd
said I refused to pick his call because I was praying for
@Arsenal
.
May God comfort him today!
I have decided to put all my efforts into supporting local football.
I was delighted to visit Mandela National Stadium Namboole today.
To
@UgandaCranes
, let's move all the way!
This is our team, our pride!
My four boys; Moses, Peter, Enoch and Joseph are not only my children but my best friends.
By the grace of God, they have all married and are now independent.
When we meet, we pray and sing together, watch football together and talk as men.
They are my consistent prayer partners.
Our boys did it again.
@Arsenal
, the Gunners!
And for
@ManUtd
fans, congratulations upon yesterday's win. Pray hard to maintain the momentum.
Soccer becomes nice when Giants win and compete. That's why they say soccer is soccer.
I always make reference to Bukayo Saka whenever I am talking about strategic positioning.
@BukayoSaka87
knows how to position himself well during the game and values teamwork.
I learn the following from him;
1. Strategic positioning
2. Teamwork
I think he is equally prayerful.
I want to make it very clear that
@ChurchofUganda_
will always uphold the Bible’s teaching that marriage is between one man and one woman, and that is the God-ordained context for sexual relationships. We DON’T and we WON'T support fornication, adultery, and homosexuality.
Our Centre-backs Rob Holding and Gabriel Magalhaes have done it for
@Arsenal
tonight defeating West Ham United at home.
Rob performed extremely well.
The other day, our boys brought
@ManUtd
to their knees.
We continue praying, playing & believing for success.
We are the gunners!
During Service at Emmanuel Cathedral Rushere today, someone anonymous gave a chit to my brother Bishop Stephen Namanya written on, "Tell the Archbishop that I like him for supporting
@Arsenal
and I wish him success."
Here we are, we won, thanks to Saka, Martinelli and Trossard!
Beloved, I pray that God blesses you and enlarges your territory; That His hand protects you from any harm and pain; and answers when you call. I pray that you will be safe in his care; his faithfulness will protect and defend you in 2023 and beyond.
Happy New Year!
Humility is not self destruction, it is a source of power.
In whatever you do, be humble.
Love and respect everyone no matter the status.
Praise the Lord!
In my house in Namirembe, I run on the stairs atleast 22 times every morning.
I am also cautious about what I eat.
Back in the days, I regularly used to play football but now I play a little to remain healthy.
I encourage you to take care of your body.
Do regular exercises!
I missed watching the
@Arsenal
-
@ManUtd
game this evening but listened to the live commentary by
@KimeraStuart
on Super FM as I traveled from Buyala, Central Buganda Diocese.
I think it was a good game.
Soccer is Soccer.
Arsenal, next time better.
Eyes on the trophy!
Hon. Dr. Nicholas Kamara, MP for Kabale Municipality recently prayed for me when
@Arsenal
lost to
@ManCityES
.
We were at All Saints
@ChurchofUganda_
Kabale during my Pastoral Visit to the Diocese of Kigezi.
Now, see how we disciplined
@ChelseaFC
!
We are back to our winning days!
Archbishop Justin Welby, Primate of All England, has every right to form his opinions about matters
around the world that he knows little about firsthand, which he has done in his recent
statement about
@ChurchofUganda_
's widely held support for the Anti-Homosexuality Act 2023.
I missed watching the
@Arsenal
match against Aston Villa today, but atleast I followed a live commentary on Super FM as I was traveling from Ndejje SS.
I also learnt that Liverpool lost.
@Prof_Kitayimbwa
must be jubilating our performance.
But, soccer is soccer.
Let's try again.
I rang Rev.
@AsiimweOnesimus
(Bishop-Elect) today morning to congratulate him upon his election by the House of Bishops as the 6th Bishop of North Kigezi Diocese.
We prayed together and I assured him of my support as prepares to shepherd God's people in his new calling. Phil 1:6
Praise God from whom all blessings flow.
This is to inform you that CHURCH HOUSE has been rebranded to JANANI LUWUM CHURCH HOUSE in line with a resolution of
@ChurchofUganda_
's Provincial Assembly.
I thank Rev.
@jaspermt
and his Church Commissioners team for taking lead in this.
Just imagine, Coffin makers are praying, asking God for clients because they need money for their children's school fees.
They say, "Oh God, my coffins are not moving. Give me customers."
Even when you don't see God's provisions, atleast thank Him for your life.
Good morning!
I thank my brother Bishop Johnson Twinomujuni, Christians and well wishers of West Ankole Diocese for mobilizing resources to build this magnificent house as the Bishop's official residence.
We prayed together in the Chapel immediately on my arrival.
It's truly beautiful!
I grew up with my late mother in Katwe in a place commonly referred to as "Musa Body" known for fabrication of machines and spare parts.
I highly respect mechanics and drivers.
That's why I call my driver a "vehicle evangelist."
I stopped to interact with these mechanics today.
My wife and I have been singing together for over 38 years.
Actually, I spotted her from the Church Choir while I was also a Choir Member in a different Church.
All our 4 boys have followed suit, we all love singing for the Lord.
Here, we were celebrating 1 year of
@Online_COU
.
Today marks exactly 39 years since I married my dear wife, Margaret.
She has always encouraged me and prayed for me to grow in faith and ministry.
God has blessed us with four biological children, daughters in love, grand children and many adopted children.
To God be the glory!
Happy to meet this team of dedicated security personnel in Kitgum District this morning.
We interacted briefly before setting off for Agago District.
They do a tough job and need our prayers for themselves and their families.
May God help them to rise in their ranks and file.
This is how my brother Bishop Henry Katumba Tamale, Canon Nkambo Mugerwa and I watched
#FIFAWorldCup
Qatar Vs. Ecuador.
We watched this beautiful game from Rakai.
I have hope,
@UgandaCranes
will participate in the nearest future.
Our boys are capable.
My brother Bishop Stephen Namanya and I decided to take a health walk today morning around Rushere hill.
Every morning, I ensure that I exercise, either by jogging or walking on the stares in my house 24 times to remain healthy.
It's also good to regulate your eating habits.
My brother Bishop
@AsiimweOnesimus
, this justifies what I have always said, that, "God has a tendency of picking a nobody to become somebody in front of everybody without consulting anybody."
Bishop Emeritus William Rukirande is a mentor to many of us.
I am truly grateful to my sister Hope Bizimana for her exceptional act of generosity & selflessness. Not only did she arrange and cater for air transport for my Chaplain and me to and from Kisoro, she offered us her personal vehicle for use, despite her own needs.
Proverbs 11:25.
This morning, together with my fellow Presidents of
@irc_uganda
, we addressed the Press about the growing spread of homosexuality in Uganda and the urgent need for protection of children and families.
It is our call to protect and preserve the future of the family institution.
I commend North Ankole Diocese for focusing on self-sustainability. I was happy to visit the Diocesan Ranch in Kakyera, Rurambira in Kyakabunga Archdeaconry.
The Diocese has over 350 cows and a number of goats.
The revenues help the Diocese in the work of mission and outreach.
I was delighted to meet my friend, Dr. Ben Mugasha (BEMUGA) during my pastoral visit in West Ankole Diocese.
He accompanied me wherever I visited and contributed to projects where fundraising was held.
He supports Churches and Church Ministers.
He is such a dependable friend!
My dear brother in the Lord & fellow servant in Christ’s vineyard, Ap.
@mosesmukisa
& his team from
@worship_harvest
gave me a Cheque of
#30M
today towards our
#ChurchHouse
love gift drive & copies of his books on financial literacy.
I am very grateful for this generosity.
When Church buildings were closed due to COVID-19, my good friend, Hajji Kin Karisa on behalf of
@nextmediaug
(
@nbstv
and
@sanyukatv
) offered free airtime to
@ChurchofUganda_
for all Sunday services from my residence in Namirembe.
May God bless you.
Happy birthday
@KKariisa
!
I am proud of our
@UgandaCranes
and I pray for them.
Our boys have the capacity to make it to the World Cup. I believe, THEY CAN MAKE IT.
Now that even
@mtnug
has come on board to support
@OfficialFUFA
, we hope for the better!
Thank you
@ubctvuganda
for the live broadcast.
On arrival in South Ankole Diocese (Ntungamo) today, my brother Bishop Nathan Ahimbisibwe took me arround some of the Diocesan projects.
As he celebrates 10 years as the first Bishop of this Diocese tomorrow, I commend him for the great projects aimed at self sustainability.
Paid a courtesy prayer visit to Rt Hon
@AmamaMbabazi
in his home in Kololo this evening.
I was delighted to find him in good cheer and good health after being unwell recently.
We discussed a wide range of issues regarding
@ChurchofUganda_
's self-sustainability.
Today morning, I paid a courtesy visit to Mzee Nathan L'okori, the father of the Late Rt. Hon Jacob Oulanyah in his home in Ayom Lony, Omoro District. We prayed together.
I am impressed that Hon.
@AndrewOulanyah
has kept my friend's legacy.
Jacob will remain dear to my heart.
Following the abdication of Bishop Eridard Nsubuga on 9th July 2023, I have appointed Rt Rev James William Ssebaggala, retired Bishop of Mukono Diocese as the caretaker Bishop of Luweero Diocese with effect from Tuesday 18th July 2023 to 18th March 2024.
I am delighted to receive a pledge of 100M from
@nextmediaug
worth of promotions, TV adverts, mentions, Squeeze Backs and Digital support across all their platforms towards the clearance of Church House debt.
Thank you
@KKariisa
for your unwavering support to Church of Uganda.
The House of Bishops is united on this. The Provincial Assembly is united on this – “As for me and the Church of Uganda, we will serve the Lord.”
I
ask your prayers for wisdom, for, indeed, we need the wisdom of Solomon to know how to faithfully respond to the crisis at hand.
My brother Bishop and friend, Wilberforce Kityo Luwalira turned 64 yesterday.
He has been my friend and prayer partner from the days we were in Seminary.
He is prayerful, calculative of what he speaks and, full of humor.
Happy belated birthday brother.
I wish you God's blessings.
We have had a successful House of Bishops meeting today and elected three new Bishops;
1. Rev. Canon Enos Kitto Kagodo -Mukono.
2. Rev. Onesimus Asiimwe -North Kigezi.
3. Rev. Canon Simon Akol Aisu -North Karamoja.
I wish all of them blessed ministry in their new calling.
Brothers and Sisters,
Praise God from whom all blessings flow
I have visited Bishop Henry Luke Orombi in the hospital morning. He was able to speak to me and told me he is better.
The situation is better, continue praying that God heals him completely.

About him:
I urge all families to reduce their spending this Christmas a little, so you have enough to pay school fees in January next year. Inflation is still very high and it is pinching all of us. Be wise about how you spend at Christmas!
Don't spend to impress anybody.

I wish you both continued joy, love, and countless more years together!
Took off time in the ongoing
#GSFA
in Cairo, Egypt to visit the iconic Pyramids this afternoon.
These historical monuments which were constructed as tombs for Pharaohs during the Old Kingdom period, provide valuable insights into the beliefs and rituals of ancient civilization.
We will be there with many Bible-believing
Archbishops, Bishops, and Anglicans from all over Africa and the world. These are
the ones who have not bowed their knee to Baal. (1 Kings 19.18)
We shall pray, and sit together, and discern the mind of Christ for the way forward.
I am pleased to announce dates for prayer and fasting across

Morocco has made Africa proud by qualifying to the quarter finals of the World Cup.
Spain tried but soccer is soccer.
It's been a tough but enjoyable game.
We fear Jesus’ words for them, “If you do not repent, I will come to you
and remove your lampstand from its place.” (Rev 2.5b) It’s that serious.
