Uniswap is an upgrade to the financial system, whether the SEC recognizes it or not. I bought my first bitcoin in 2011, started BlackRock’s crypto efforts in 2015 and left TradFi in 2021 to go all in on DeFi as COO of Uniswap Labs. I did that because I believe onchain markets.

Today we responded to the SEC’s Wells notice, explaining why the technology we build is good, why it’s safe, and why it’s legal. When regulators try to litigate new technologies out of existence, only well-resourced companies like @Uniswap Labs can fight back. For the US to keep.

We’ve always been proud to operate in NYC, in broad daylight. Glad to see NY’s @SenGillibrand and @SenSchumer support constructive legislation on SAB 121 last week, and excited for a bipartisan vote in the House this week on FIT 21 to keep users safe and the U.S. innovating.

Marvin and I first bonded over the future of an open internet in 2016. I was trying to change the financial system from the inside, with mixed success. In 2020, Marvin urged me to join him at @Uniswap, a project that he believed could make an actual dent in disrupting markets.
