@CueTheDaggerPod @OviClapBomb He’s at least comparable to DeBrincat. Which is still astounding considering DeBrincat was a 2nd rounder. That’s a perennial 20 goal scorer, with potential to hit 40 a couple times. I don’t think anyone thinks he’s gonna be Ovi. Nobody but Matthews compares to Ovi.

@BenPopeCST @JeffAgrest I think his lack of initiative to get off the ice in OT represents well what Paul was talking about too. It’s the effort he’s not putting in half the time when he’s not actively controlling the puck. He gives up on making the right play if he doesn’t get a pass when he’s wants it

@WallMaz35 He’s what Phil Danault was in Montreal before he started scoring. Just older. If the team was better he’d get more selke votes IMO. Probably wouldn’t win it, because being the best defensively as a forward actually doesn’t mean you win it. You gotta be above a point/game too🤷🏼♂️

Bedard needs to get the fuck off the ice. It’s OT against the fastest player in the league going the other way and he just leisurely slides towards the bench. His whole body language just has not been it for a while. Generational talent that’s losing motivation. Fucking Chicago.

@kylethethrill @JFreshHockey MacKinnon is such an alien when it comes to his speed bursts above 20 mph that even though he records points at one of the highest clips, it still outshines everyone else’s splits. I’d have look at my data later since I’m at work, but idk who has the largest net negative

@bigborpist @JFreshHockey Tavares actually has a good top speed, he just doesn’t really have that explosive first couple strides to get to it when he doesn’t have a lot of open ice. I believe the same can be said for Stone and Robertson, but it’s been a while since I’ve looked at the data.

@PixelBushYT Ngl, she’s probably needlessly hated at this point, but my hate for her feels very natural and never forced. Loading into a match against her and seeing her be played the same way she was on release tests my patience in ways nothing else could for a number of reasons.

With young players like Nazar, Dach, Allan, EDM, and Kaiser getting around half a season of NHL games this year will come back next year with experience. And to help them over a full season, sign top free agents.

@HeintzmanLuke @jayzawaski Lardis and Kantserov definitely project out to top 6 roles. Kantserov more so than lardis. What they lack is another true elite level talent up front. I personally think Nazar is that in disguise due to him missing almost a full season of development.
