Interesting claim by a Russian blogger that Russia has run out of 122mm ammunition and replacement barrels, and is no longer capable of producing more since 2013. If true this would explain the massive decrease in Russian arty fire as much as ammo dumps being blown up.

Head of the SBU of Kherson was paid off by the Russians, was arrested 2 days ago in Serbia with $600k in cash and diamonds. He fled as the invasion began, instructed forces to not deploy and stay home.
Canadian Minister of National Defence Bill Blair has announced a $4.4 million CAD investment into 155mm artillery ammunition production.
Not a typo.

The autoloader of a T72/80/90 can do 8 rounds per minute, or 1 round every 7.5 seconds. This crew has demonstrated it can get two rounds down range before a T72 could even reload.

They slept in a slit trench, with no barrier between then and the ground. The cold ground acts and a giant heat sink and sucks the heat out of them. It's why you need something to keep your body off the ground directly to insulate you

14 years as a tech, I've never seen a failure like this. My guess is a barrel obstruction causing chamber detonation while not fully locked.
Gather around for a logistics thread everyone, today we will discuss the logistical needs of the Russian army around Avdiivka, Donetsk. I will cover the big three logistical commodities, Ammunition, Fuel, and water. As these are the biggest enablers to allow an army to fight.
In conclusion, Russia is unable to reach its full potentially as it is likely unable to current support increased logistical needs. Any growth in Russian combat power will require more logistical through put such as the now under construction rail ways in the south.

No they are asking for nations to fulfill their obligations under the memorandum. Including article 4 which Russia currently is violating by invading Ukraine.
Rheinmetall comes through and has set up a new 35mm production lime for the Gepard. First batches should arrive to Ukraine from the new line in June or July.
Second claim ive seen saying Kiselivka has been liberated, if true Ukrainian forces now control the hills over looking Kherson, and only have two small towns between the UA and Kherson Airport. If this is the case the battle for Kherson's liberation could begin within 72h
In Kherson region on June 14:
A rashist ammunition depot was destroyed in Nova Kakhovka.
Rashist forces retreated from Kiselivka; fighting continues in the settlement.
Rashist forces assaulted Vysokopillya and were repulsed; Ukrainian defenders launched a counter-offensive.
@UAWeapons
Strangely there is nothing else around it, I wonder if this one was already damaged and abandoned for later recovery? The video also doesn't show complete destruction at all.
@WarMonitor3
Hitting the whole front prevents Russia from concentrating its remaining reserves. If the Russian lines Crack open, it may lead to larger gains. Oh but wait till tomorrow for Russian trolls to say hundreds of Ukrainians died and the attack failed haha
Across the 6 axis's that I broke the front into, Russia totals 514,657 troops, 7959 tanks, 33707 AFV/IFV, 3546 towed guns, 3332 SP guns, and 1322 MRLS. Now you may of already noticed this is higher then the initial invasion force.
This matches Ukranian intel estimates on their force structure. As a result of this one number and back tracking we can safely estimate russian forces average 60% of their on paper manpower and equipment at the time i pulled these numbers during the winter time.
For munitions, a force of this size needs 1183.71t of small arms ammo, 10243.2t of 125mm, 6440t of 30mm, 15460t of 122, 13461t of 152mm, 3701t of rockets.
@NLwartracker
If RU forces in Kherson on the west side of the Dnipro surrender, it's all over, even if the rest of the Russian forces fight on, the forces Ukraine can bring to bare against the remaining RU forces is huge.
If you all recall last fall russian MoD said they were delivering 15k tons of fuel and ammo per day. so lets call it 45k every three days to align with my math. This means the russians are only getting 59.7% off their max.
All of these vehicles of various types will also use up a large amount of fuel, 24,867t of fuel to be exact. This is roughly 9.5 million liters just for their tanks!
Total ammunition required, by weight would be 50,490t, and to transport all that to front line units you would need 8,416 truck loads if using a KAMAZ-5350 logistics truck.
Even including new units shifted to the front, it is highly likely that units were not at war time strength or even their on paper pre war strength at the start of the war.
to resupply fuel we would need 3,553 ATZ-7-5350 fuel trucks. So in total the russians would need just under 13000 trips just to supply the front line forces with fuel and ammunition. Additionally you would need to transport 9.8 million liters of water to the troops every 48h.
Gas station hit, systematic elimination of the fuel supply. Reports are the Russians have been forced to use gas stations to fuel up, taking these out now eliminates their alternative fuel supply.
@EricMMatheny
Great clipping of the entire answer, ignoring the part where he said that if Ukraine falls, a NATO country would be next, which would trigger article 5
As a reminder these threads are meant to show the theoretical maximum, from there we can use information available to find the min, and determine actual usage in the future.

@JulianRoepcke
@IntelCrab
Not as doom and gloom as you make it out to be as we know Ukraine set up its new defensive line on the west side of the highway so of course they will loose the last bit of town. You make it sound like the whole front collapsed
Polish government has announced that it will train and equip a Ukrainian brigade with 150 vehicles, including tanks and IFVs. With Germany holding up leopards, Poland continues to find ways to support Ukraine.

Your really going to debate semantics when 18 kids are dead? Are you sending thoughts and prayers too hoping that it won't happen again?
At approximately the 45 sec mark you can see a rail crossing under water. Tomsk is along the trans Siberian route, the only by pass route goes through Kazakhstan, which will cost the Russian government more in transit fees, and delay shipments from the far east, China and DPRK
Gather around, get your favorite beverage ready, today we talk about the front that became the largest urban battle of the 21st century. Bakmhut, but as usual if you follow my threads, this isn't about the soldier on the front lines, this is about the troops, behind the troops.
@secretsqrl123
KMW is building new hulls for the Czech A7+ right now and the first german A8s will begin in the second half of this year once the Czech hulls are made. Idk what your talking about, KMWs own press releases say they have been making new hulls.

The video clearly shows the last Russian opened fire, faking surrender is a war crime. A UA soldier prone with a machine gun opened fire killing the shooter and likely several of the others as well
As hinted to yesterday I will begin the last of my logistics threads. First I would like to thank
@UAControlMap
@naalsio26
for their hard work, as without it, this would not of been possible. As for my sources? most of my orbats come from ,
In conclusion I hope this helps you all understand the amount of supplies Russia needs to throw into it's main offensive in Avdiivka at the moment in order to keep the battle going, and how if Ukraine can interdict this, it can spell trouble very quickly, as it did in Kherson.
@DefMon3
So the Russians stripped every other front to support the battle for Donbas, if Ukraine can break through in the south anywhere, RU might not have the forces available to redeploy to stabilize the line. If this is part of a bugger counter attack, this could become huge.
Disney has announced a new aid package for the Ukraine Air force. With western nations dragging their feet on fighter jets, Disney will provide the Ukrainian air force with 12 TIE/FO superiority fighters in order to combat Russian aircraft, training will commence immediately.
To understand my numbers, and to simplify the averages I use the following standard vehicles to calculate logistical needs. Tanks I use the T72 which is a happy medium especially for fuel consumption at 1200L for 1100L for a T80 and 1600L for a T90. AFV's I use the BMP2.
Long delayed, part 2! logistics in Western Zaporizhzhia! link below to part 1, as we dive into the requirements of the russians to supply their forces while countering Ukrainian offensive operations.
@Osinttechnical
Russia is gambling though, their own GLOC into Popasna is exposed, one good counter attack, and it's closed for good. Though even now arty can shred any resupply
Howitzers I go off the D-30 for towed, and the 2S19,and the BM-21 for rocket artillery. For logistical needs I go off of the KAMAZ-5350 with a 6T capacity and its fuel truck version with a 7T capacity.
The information on unit's on this front is based on
@UAControlMap
map's, which full disclaimer, even they admit this list isn't complete. However there are right now 35 known units around Avdiivka.
@ItsDeanBlundell
I would go about the swiss model, pick either the military, or a public service job like nursing homes, life guards, etc. This gives people options if they object to military service, and give back to the community, while giving young people potential skills they can use.
@sentdefender
Doubtful on himars, Ukraine admitted all HIMARS strikes are vetted and approved by US intelligence. I highly doubt they would okay a strike on a functional hospital. The strike lands in the court yard, for a GPS that could hit the corner of a building accurately, that seems odd
These a broken down to 4 Artillery brigades, 7 motor rifle brigades, 1 marine brigade, 12 motor rifle regiments, 2 tank regiments, 6 Rifle/motor battalions, and 1 recce battalion.
