@AmericanAir After much back and forth with @AmericanAir customer relations, I have confirmed that travel credit is a SCAM. AA can take your money, and turn it into unusable travel credit. Don't let them do this! Apparently travel credit does not equal actual money value. No explanation why.

@Amyjo81682544 @AmericanAir Wasn't what happened here. Agent gave me $1,000 credit instead of booking my flight home from a trip. Upon further inspection, I can't use the credit to return home because the ticket home doesn't originate in the USA.
