@daverumbold1 @Bayer4CropsAU The visual control rating when the video was taken was 93%, but the panicle count shortly afterwards was 84%. The panicles were stunted though, so I imagine if I'd done a ryegrass seed count the control would have been much higher...but there are only so many hours in the day!

@daverumbold1 @Bayer4CropsAU Hi there Dave. As I'm sure you can appreciate, there is a limit to the number of treatments that can be fit in a trial protocol. Trif + Avadex isn't as big in WA as it once was, so didn't make the cut. I'm a BIG fan of Sakura + Avadex though.

And now we dial up the rates a little... Being able to increase the amount of HPPD active you're applying to these big plants is critical. The extra brom increases leaf burn, but is purely contact and can't get into that big growing point. More assessments to come soon.

Who likes smut? Certainly not barley growers. The #bayertrial at the @LiebeGroup SFD site up in Latham is looking at seed dressings and slurry volumes on loose smut control. Way too early for results, but old chemistry is certainly handbraking the crop! @Bayer4CropsAU
