1 year anniversary since moving from California to New England, here is what I’ve learned:
Sports fans are diehard fans.. considering some games will end around 1-2am and lots of people will stay up just to watch those games. (Also I’ve run into more hockey fans)

For those curious the ship is fine because the center of buoyancy is lower than the center of gravity. When the CofG shifts due to the wave it pushes the CofB to the front and thus making it float upwards. That’s why they go straight on, if it was sideways they’d be finding Nemo.

Good question. In general they sail into the wind, that’s mainly what causes waves (even out in the open). At night they slow down, can’t stop, at calm seas because waves can happen anytime. We can predict wind patterns and ships have radars that measure waves around the boat.
